Killarney Lake Boat Launch Campground

Scenic area and very good for those with boats. I could even see camping here if you wanted to spend a day or two swimming in the lake and wandering around the nearby area. However, if you are looking for a full camping experience of semi-solitude, bonfires, and late nights with the radio on, you should seek elsewhere. We were looking for a new place to camp and this seemed to be perfect based on the description, but when we arrived we were a little disappointed. The campground, in a nutshell, is a paved parking lot with picnic tables and fire pits around the perimeter. I know that "Boat Launch" is in the name of the campground, but I assumed it was more than just a literal boat launch that you pay $10 a night to sleep at. We moved on.
