A very large grassy area where you can pick your spot, or even stay among the coffee trees. We have wwoofers and workaway stays in cabins, and there is a shared kitchen, shower (lots of hot water!) and communal area. The farm is secluded and safe. There are free range ducks and chickens and a very friendly dog and several cats. The town of Pahoa is a 20 minute walk away, with stores and restaurants. No light pollution and zillions of stars, when it isn't raining, and it can rain a lot here (that's how you get tropical rainforest...)

Christopher is such a nice host. He showed us around his big farm and let us taste the fruits he grew. He also recommended us some nice places around Pahoa. It’s a big land and he let us set up our camp wherever we wanted. There is hot water available too. We only stayed one night but I definitely hoped we would’ve stayed the longer and get to know him better and visit more in the area.

It was a great place to stay. We enjoyed spending a few days. Christopher was very generous and helpful with ideas of things to do close by.

It was an open field on a farm. The host was plenty friendly. It's really close to pohoa town for food. Shower hot water didn't work at 1st But the host worked on The water heater and got it working. Thanks!

Arrived to a closed gate. Called host and left two messages letting the host know we were at the gate and that we had entered the property. Followed the emailed instructions to the designated camping area was met by an employee who showed us around. We were tired and went to bed early and the only people there camping. We were awaken by a person shining flashlight into our tent and inquiring why we were there. It was a very unwelcoming experience. The farm itself is in a disheveled state. The greenhouses are functional but in need of repair. Some areas are overgrown but the camping area was mowed and maintained.

Christopher was an extraordinarily hospitable host with a lovely working farm featuring coffee, orchids, anthuriums, and various fruit trees. We had planned on camping out but he allowed us to sleep in an available tiny cabin, which was a plus. Access to the outdoor kitchen was helpful for cooking meals, and he also gave us great advice on sightseeing destinations.
