We booked a last minute camping trip and it was so nice! Our spot had picnic tables, a spot for a campfire and some horses close by. We couldn’t find the bathroom, but it was so isolated that it wasn’t even a problem. We would definitely stay again!
Relaxing and beautiful farm
This trip was my first camping trip and I am so glad I came to Anna’s. Even though we only stayed one night, It was such a lovely experience. Anna left us firewood (for sale), came to meet us when we got there at 6 PM, and made sure we were comfortable and warm! We made a lovely fire in the evening and used the small creek for cleaning. It was so lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the running water, rustling leaves, and crackling fire. We were woken up in the morning by roosters and watched the sun rise on Anna’s horses. A dog came running up to us when the sun rose and played with us. We had a tap for potable water and a port-a-potty we never even used. The view of the farm was so beautiful to wake up to. We ended our weekend with a short drive from Anna’s to Yonah mountain. There we hiked and rock climbed. I am so glad Anna’s farm was my first camping experience and I can’t wait to visit again!!
Great place for a family
Anna was lovely to work with. We enjoyed our camping at her property and getting to know the horses, ponies and her mule, Ella. Great place to get away from the crowd and enjoy nature.
Perfect camp site near dahlonega
We had the best experience at Anna’s place. We stayed at one of the sites by the creek-at night time you can hear it from your tent and it is so peaceful. The road that others mention the campsite is off of is a dirt road and very rarely traveled-we are talking a few cars a day (at most). Anna’s dogs are also sweet and friendly. They got along great with our dogs and came to check on us a time or two times per day. If you get tired of them, just tell them to go home and they will. Anna had large bundles of wood and kindlin for sale (she had venmo and cash app) which helped with our night that was chillier. Another thing we loved about the site was the beautiful horses and the rooster crowing in the morning. If you have dogs, this is the perfect campsite to bring them. It is also about 12 minutes away from 3 different wineries. We will be back!
So quiet and relaxing
Our stay was so relaxing. It’s so quiet and the host is so nice. We woke every morning to the rooster crowing, made our coffee, and was greeting by horses grazing in the field next to us. If you pay a little extra, you get a horse experience based on your level of knowledge about the animal. My 15 and 13 year olds loved it. They already want to go back. The farm is driving distance to Vogel state park and other attractions like waterfalls, Appalachian trail, Dahlonego, & Helen.
