Frog was very welcoming to my family and me. He showed us the grounds, laid out the rules, and stayed in touch with any news. An excellent spot where the kids could explore a little, some water to fish in, and some nice flat spots to set up camp. It was a great experience for us. A quick shirt drive to Helen for all the sights and sounds. We will be back.
Pretty good stay
This location is pretty primitive. Yes it has WiFi and an access to an extension chord for some power, access to water spigot(not at each site)If you are ok with no real bathroom(two hospital chair potties with buckets) then it is good. I didn’t mind the bathroom necessarily bc I can use the woods for the bathroom…. If you can’t handle roughing it then I don’t recommend it. If you want a quiet site away from everyone and not high in amenities then it’s fine. The host was nice and checked in several times on us, so that was good. Overall I’d probably stay again but I wouldn’t recommend it for the people that can’t handle truly camping.
The electric hookup is standard 120 volt extension cord which we attached our 30 amp adapter to. Microwave was unable to work but we very rarely use it so no problem for us. Hiking available on property; campsite was nice and private. Off leash for our dog and eventually our cat ventured out at night with the campfire burning. She stayed close by. Useful to bring a table or two and, of course, your camp chairs. Frog is very nice! Located between Cleveland and Helen, GA. Enjoyed our stay (we were able to stay an additional day). Thanks Frog!
We had a great time! Shortly after arriving, Frog showed up to give us a tour of the property. He's a friendly guy and was very accommodating. We stayed at campsite #3 and loved it. It was the perfect size for our group of 7 with 2 tents. Having electricity at the site was a real game changer. We ran a string of Christmas lights at night for lighting. In the morning, we were able to make coffee with our electric kettle. The water spigot was just a short walk up the hill. The pond was just a short walk down the hill. I landed 1 large mouth bass while my son got 5. We had a fun and relaxing morning on the pond with the jon boat. This is a really nice place to spend a relaxing weekend, without having to sacrifice some of the comforts of home. We would highly recommend this place to any one!
