Over the years we've hosted musicians, artists, and writers who come here to have a tranquil setting. Those folks always loved our property and encouraged us to share our beautiful farm and its amenities with others.

We live in a great small town, in coastal GA, on a lovely 75 acre farm (You cannot see a neighbor for 1/4 mile) with woods, pond with dock, historic cabin, walking trails, peace & quiet, wildlife, very close proximity trail bicycling, excellent road bicycling (our town hosts one of the largest best bike events in the southeast.)  We have a mild winter climate with most winter days breezy but sunny. Spring and fall are sublime. August is hot except in deep shade -- but thankfully we have large trees for shade.

We're 13 miles off I-16.

20 minutes from Statesboro, Ga.

1 hour from Savannah.

1.5 hours to Hilton Head, SC.

1 hour to The Golden Isles (Jekyll, St. Simons, Sea Islands).

6-8 minutes to the nearest large grocery store.

We're 1/4 mile on a hard-packed, well-maintained county dirt road.                         (We pull our 5th wheeler RV on the road a great deal.)

We can accommodate very large rigs also with plenty of space to turn, maneuver, and park extra vehicles.

Sites #1 is a 50, amp, full hookup, back in with plenty of space for backing. It will accommodate up to a 65 foot RV and rig with slides.

Site #3 is a pull-through. It's 30 or 50 amp, water, sewer. Works well for up to RV rigs up to 34 feet with slides. The site is by itself and 150 yards from sites 1.

We welcome overnighters or campers who might want to spend several days, weeks or a month on our property and enjoy the mild winters, water, wildlife, and the quiet, slow, natural life. We have a security gate entrance.

Although we live on the property, we like to maintain our privacy as well as give you plenty of privacy too. Our house is tucked on one side of the farm out of the way.

No strange behaviors, nudists, or unfriendly people.

Adults only since this is a wooded area with a pond and dock. Dock has some high places unsuitable for young children.

Well-behaved pets welcome on a leash.

Tiny homes welcome too!

This was our first time trying out Hipcamp and I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had on Karen and Mike's beautiful farm. We entered their gated property and Mike gave us an escort to our location (Site #3). A storm was rolling in and Mike jumped out of his truck to help us set up our TT as quickly as possible. He was so helpful. After the storm passed - Karen came by with fresh baked bread and ground cinnamon - it was still warm!! We used the 50amp connection and had no issues at all. There are 3 sites total - only one other was in use. Our site was set slightly apart from the others and is the closest to the firepit area - although quite frankly - all of the sites are located well. I spent my AM having coffee on the dock with my daughters and feeding the catfish (they left a bag of catfish food out for us). At night - the sky is so clear - no light pollution at all. We enjoyed walking around their property - admiring their beautiful gardens and fruit trees. Karen gave me a lesson in turmeric farming and before she left - she dropped off a huge bag of roma tomatoes, fresh basil and eggplant. We also had use of the carefully restored civil war era log cabin. There were several board games in the living room that my girls enjoyed. Mike checked on us each night and brought us dry wood for our fire. His stories about his Dad and growing up on the property were lovely - it's so awesome that he and Karen chose to make the farm their home. We will definitely be back in the Fall.

Aptly named, Bliss Hills is a perfect place to unplug and unwind. The property is perfectly maintained and the hosts are warm and attentive. We loved the view of the pond and the great bird watching from our site. The cabin is a perfect hub for campers and was a welcome retreat from the hot July afternoons.

By the time we left we felt like we had not only found a new favorite spot, but made great new friends. If you like wildlife, rural settings, gardens, music, and meeting friendly and interesting folks, this is definitely a good fit for you.

We booked a last minute camping trip for the 4th of July. All the usual places were booked a year in advanced, so we discovered Hipcamp and Bliss Hills RV sites. It was the best trip!
To say Mike and Karen, the hosts, were welcoming is an understatement. They warned us ahead of our arrival that another camper was going to shoot fireworks. Karen gave us a tour of the property, and 100 year old cabin which was lovely. Mike checked on us daily to make sure we were ok. When our friends had car trouble, Mike got a mechanic to come and help and he hung around to make sure everyone was ok.
We all hit it off so well, we got to spend time with the owners when they had down time and it was like visiting with old friends.
There are three sites around a field with full hookups, and the price was so reasonable. There is a fish pond with a dock and kayaks.
We will definately be back.

What awesome hosts! We stayed for the 4th of July and the other campers were also awesome. It was my first time using hip camp and 2nd time camping. I highly recommend this location. It was a peaceful and fun getaway! The hosts were so kind and even shared veggies from their garden and delicious homemade bread. The cabin was next to our campsite and it was really nice with a clean bathroom. We enjoyed feeding the fish in little lake and taking walks around the lake and on the little trails. The resident doggie was a sweetheart and even our little bossy chihuahua loved her! I will definitely come back and visit again.

Mike and Karen are the nicest people and their quaint little slice of heaven was just what we were looking for for our Fourth of July weekend! The grounds are very well tended too, feed is provided if you want to feed the catfish at the pond. 2 kayaks and a boat were provided for us and the other campers to use at our leisure. And so many other little surprises that just kept coming throughout our stay. Bliss Hills is a true Georgia hidden gem. These hosts surpassed our expectations and their hospitality is unmatched. We will be returning in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Bliss Hills. The host family was friendly and helpful. The farm was peaceful and the amenities were perfect. We especially enjoyed feeding the fish and watching the stars at night. The sky was so dark and clear that the stars were innumerable! Great get away spot. Will definitely visit again!

Mike and Karen have created a beautiful spot for campers. If they aren’t hard at work on the property and you get lucky enough to spend some time with them you should!

There’s a great dock where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee and they leave a big bag of fish food to create a frenzy with the catfish.

They put a lot of work into the garden and won’t hesitate to answer any questions you might have. You may be lucky to even bring some veggies home with you.

They have a cabin dating back to the civil war era that you can hang out in and play tic-tac-toe, read a book or to use the bathroom or take a shower.

We will be back. Only advice to RVers is use some leveling blocks if you book site 1 or 2 - we noticed the ground isn’t very level there. Site 3 is the only site with gravel. Oh and don’t be afraid of the dirt road on your way in! It doesn’t last long!

We enjoyed meeting you two so much and hosting y'all. I would like to mention we had a tremendous amount of rain before your visit and sites 1 and 2 really suffered from washing. But we have brought in gravel on both to build them up and re-leveled them. So now they are again level, and all the sites are wider too. Good luck with the turmeric growing, and we look forward to seeing y'all again. And thanks for the amazing conversation and coffee.
