The Bamboo Garden
Nice private and secluded
I would agree with previous reviews that it looks a little different after the hurricane. I think we would've enjoyed it much much more if we had a working toilet in our unit. I'm assuming we were at the end of the cycle of the porta pot cleaning. That's the only complaint I would have. Unfortunately we did not have a working toilet in our pop-up camper so we had to make due.
Jorge and his family are very nice people! Their dog rubble is very friendly and likes to come over and say hi. it was very quiet and peaceful. Although you are pretty close to the house the row of sugarcane give you complete privacy in this spot. Caught a couple fish in the ponds.
If I had to travel to this area again, I wouldn't have a problem staying there again. If you're looking for private and secluded, this is your place. if I had a camper that had a shower and a toilet, I could've stayed there for weeks.

Palmetto Patch
Im surprise that nobody talks about the ridiculus amount of fire ants.
I fight with the bites since 5 days.( i stayed 48h)...my camping foam mattress is ruined by ants....( they bite us through the mosquito stuff)
Definitly not the best stay of my life

The Bamboo Garden
Lovely quiet spot
Wonderful place to stay that is only going to get better as George continues to develop the area. Secluded and quiet, we listened to cranes and owls. George is friendly and helpful and we ordered a bottle of their delicious homemade fruit juice. Water and electric hookups and a nice privacy bamboo fence. If you want to be away from city congestion, this is the place!

The Bamboo Garden
Very reasonable site…hookups worked well and reasonably private; photos are outdated and the property has still not recovered from the hurricane so it doesn’t look like it once did.

Perfect getaway
Finding a campsite can be a gamble, but our stay on Georges land was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the starry sky stole our breath away, and his warm welcome set the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Here's what made our stay so incredible:
The Land: We were mesmerized by the babbling brook, the mango trees, the panoramic views. He clearly takes pride in maintaining this haven, and it shows in every corner.
The Hospitality: his kindness made us feel instantly at ease. From offering - firewood, local recommendations, and a friendly to respecting our privacy, he struck the perfect balance.
The Peacefulness: We were surrounded by chirping birds, rustling leaves, gentle breeze and a sense of pure tranquility. It was the perfect escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.
More than just a campsite, he provided us with a memory we'll cherish forever. We left feeling refreshed, invigorated, and incredibly grateful for his generosity. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable camping adventure.
