Perfect one night stay :-)
Great convenient camp. Easy to get to. Nice set up with a fire ring, logs etc.
It’s not far off the road so you will hear a little bit of road noise - otherwise really peaceful an great place to camp!
Florida at its finest
Wyatt Earp at the Hideout was so much fun. My whole family enjoyed the brisk weekend weather and the picture perfect Florida Scenery that is so hard to find today. This is a little piece of Florida history we’re not likely to get back. I highly recommend.
Love this property! a+
Me, my brothers, and several of our friends reserved all four campsites on John’s expansive and beautiful property! We spent Memorial Day Weekend on his 600-acre property celebrating my brother’s bachelor party and we had a blast. Everything exceeded expectations and John was super helpful and welcomed us with open arms. He set up a space for us far back in the property so it truly felt like we were alone in the woods. Huge widespread fields and towering mossy trees surrounded us without a lick of civilization in sight — just what we wanted! And yet, just two minutes away is a grocery store, a Circle K, a liquor store, and some other essential stops. So if you forget something, one of these places will surely have it. One afternoon we all walked around all the trails John created and had such a fun time seeing all its features. It’s beautiful, John is great, and we highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for an isolated camping experience with lots of space and lots of natural beauty.
We were the only campers for the night so we had the whole area to ourselves. The property is stunning and John was a very gracious host. I know the area seems a little out of the way but if you’re using Highway 301, this is a 9 mile detour you won’t regret. Our only wish was more time there.
Wyatt earp campsite hosted by john
From the moment we enquired about this campsite we received nothing but immediate replies from John T. My wife and I travel more than the average and we have encountered many situations of hospitality, both good and bad. John has been one of the top 5 hosts we’ve been privileged to be hosted by and we cannot express our gratitude enough for him making our 3 night stay beyond comfortable. His property is gorgeous, we felt so safe and he visited us occasionally to make sure we were happy. I would encourage anyone staying at either Wyatt Earp or Wild Bill to invite John for dinner one night because he has wonderful stories and can offer you an abundance of local information. 5 stars indeed! Thank you John.
Ocala camp among the stars

Top ocala camping! hands down!
Top Ocala camping! The camp site facing an open fields of unless beauty, and walking the property which is over 100 acres your see creeks, Turkey, Deer, Hawks, and much more. Your discover other camps even more isolated to enjoy the stars, and nature. I was able to get great photos, bird watch, and hike the private trails on the property. The locations also is get to use as you visit crowed Springs, and come back to peaceful settings. The site was great and the host very nice.
Epic host. epic property.
John is the best host you could ever hope for, and his campsites are second to none. My friend and I get together once a year to go camping, and I have never seen such a well manicured site as this. It's obviously a labor of love for John and his father. We are so lucky to have been able to stay on his land. Thank you, John. You're an amazing man with a little slice of heaven there. We'll never forget the property or your generosity of spirit.
