the star-gaze

BEWARE..We were really looking forward to going up to Christmas and Star Gazer…unfortunately we found out our small dog wasn’t allowed in the tent. It was Easter weekend and we couldn’t find someone to watch her and had to cancel. Our dog would have freaked out in a car carrier OUTSIDE the tent. So… beware of that. Still we wanted to just reschedule and go another weekend. Instead we get ZERO responses and they just went ahead and kept our entire amount we paid. Not a 1/2 refund NOTHING!!! Just kept the money and ghosted. I never leave reviews, and this place seems cool, but seriously…we’re Florida natives and camp everywhere, so this was disappointing to say the least. Not happy.

Loved Katy’s place! I checked out and went back another night. Peaceful, quiet, sustainable property with plenty of options for campers of all types. Katy was lovely to talk to, the area was safe and close enough to major areas. Will definitely return!

Trailed tent community

This is a unique location with a mix of tent camping sites and more permanent small structures connected by scrub palm trails with a small pond and a common area. Host was responsive and friendly. She was accommodating, let me stay in my truck bed camper. Parking is near the house walking into tent sites. The sawdust toilet and shower were nice additions to have plus some community cookware if needed.

Absolutely loved it! Great eco-conscious space in nature. Safe, easy to find, pleasant guests, options for unique amenities and lovely host. I would recommend and will stay again when I’m in the area.

The Flat Land Center Camp

Nice spot!

Nice spread out camp sites. They have a little pond which you can set up camp next to as well. Host was very helpful and quick to respond. We picked one of the sites in the back so it took a few wagon loads to get all our gear to our spot but was worth it. Also we have a large 8 person tent and Some of the spots were on small side for our setup. But they have ones with plenty of space thankfully! Amazing views at night of the stars, and it is a short drive from Orlando which is nice.
