About the property
The site is a destination for motorcyclists from Florida and beyond, but that doesn’t mean you have to be a biker to have a good time. Check out our reviews to get a sense of what to expect.
Walk the 3,000 acres of the Gulf Hammock right next door, ride your ATV through the nearby trails, or enjoy nightly communal fires and movies and coffee in the mornings. There’s also live music on the weekends and a full bar with food, all available for a donation.
Stay here for a jumping off point to the Rainbow River, Withlacoochee River, Crystal River, and the Gulf of Mexico. You’ll also have plenty of access nearby to boating, kayaking, snorkeling, canoeing, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, mud trucks, and horseback riding. Swim with the manatees, cruise down a zip line, or learn more about Florida habitats through the various eco-tourism offerings in the area.
Everyone is friendly and wants to get to know new friends. If that’s your vibe as well, you’ll fit right in. You will always remember your stay and the friends you meet here.
That said, expect to see and meet lots of other people during your stay. If you’re looking for a totally private camping experience, we’d encourage you to check out some of the other Hipcamps in the area instead.

Everyone was very friendly! It was a very unique place. We enjoyed our stay and would stop again if given the chance traveling through the area.
We happened to book on a fundraising event, Louis was very proactive in letting us know it would not be the normal quiet atmosphere. Loving music, we decided to go. It was wonderful!! We were escorted through the parking area to the dispersed camping area. The fundraiser was for the Special Olympics! There were food vendors, beverages and the bands were wonderful! I can see us going back for a longer stay for a future fundraiser.

We enjoyed a great time at Scooter Haven. The staff were considerate and kind and made us feel welcome after our long drive from Canada. No issues at all. The amenities were great with flush toilets and hot showers. Loved the on-site club as well.
Great camping facility for the adult crowd. I look forward to staying there again in the future.
Great camp. Everyone was easy going and friendly. Louis the owner, and managers Brad & Fran all introduced themselves and were very nice. The clubhouse and ship memorial were both really cool, and the manager/bartender Magic had plently of great stories to tell. To echo another review, there were some of Trump stickers and conferate flags, but no one brought up race or politics, and I felt comfortable and welcome (I'm a white male). I stayed during the week in the tent area and it was pretty quite with only a few other campers. Also watch out for ticks!
Two wheel heaven and funky camp ⛺️
Super friendly crowd, if your on two wheels they have little shacks you can crash in using repurposed billboard signage. Feels like your at a bike rally but really it’s a bunch of good people wanting to chill, maybe sing some classic rock. Super funky cedar key, key west, Route 66 vibe for sure. Owner from NJ personally guided me and my two young kids into a spot and even stressed to find me a amp converter (need a 30 amp hook up) when I had 20 only. Friendly neighbors there me an extension cord. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We would go back.

May be ok in good weather but…
We had a lot of downpours while we were there and it turned most of the ground into a muddy lake. And driveway was pretty awful to tow a trailer through with all the potholes. Not our favorite place.
This was one of the best camps we’ve ever been to. It was exactly what we needed. Thank you SO much!
It was a great atmosphere with nice people! It rained the whole time we were here so we didn’t get out much, but the first night in, we went to the bar and everyone was so nice!
