Perfect new tent trial run
Finally got to get away after we tried in January and had to cancel. Trailed our new Glamping Tent and had a great time despite the hot humid weather! We were all by ourselves and our dogs loved being on their long leads outside (we don’t have an inclosed yard at home)
Lovely and close to the awesome Crystal River and will try again when the weather cools down.
You don't really get the "camping" feeling staying here. You're setting up a tent in someone's backyard. But it is an extremely convenient location and that's really what it's all about.
This place was so wonderful! The hosts were so welcoming and great for recommendations of where to go in the area. 10/10 would recommend and I hope we get the opportunity to stay here again soon.
Brenda and her husband were great hosts! However, I was disappointed with the property. It is very close to the main road so you can hear traffic and ambulances at all hours of the night. Additionally, the "shower" is a garden hose wand attached to the side of a wall that is covered in spider eggs. The floor of the shower is a wooden deck that steps down into mud. Overall, I would give the property 3.5/5 stars.
A warm & special spot to unwind.
It was a serene and enchanting spot. This fully hooked-up site had everything we needed. Each night, I enjoyed the campfire; and each day sunbathed in the fresh air. The restroom was clean and we felt safe. Although I did not meet Brenda, her husband was kind and extremely accommodating.
Handy but near a highway
It was an ok place. There is a busy highway near by and I don't remember seeing that in the info. It was plenty dark for tent camping. The bathroom was ok. Didn't use the outdoor shower because of the weather. It is a good location to crystal river to see the manatees and has a dollar general very close for things that you need. Has nice woods for gathering fire wood for the fire pit. Next time i am in the area this place would still be a consideration but I would look to find somewhere quieter
