Huckleberry Farm is a wonderful place to relax and the perfect camp spot for animal lovers. The directions made the farm easy to find, and we were shortly met by Doug who showed us where we can set up and park our camper. The property is huge and feels very secluded with more than enough space to sprawl out and disconnect.
There are many friendly animals on the farm, including nigerian dwarf goats, rabbits, young ducks, and a twelve year old donkey named Moses.
We had a wonderful time meeting the equine residents and we enjoyed watching some student lessons while we were visiting. Huckleberry Farm is very active in the surrounding community, offering riding lessons, equine therapy, and has founded a program called “Out School”, a weekly farm based learning program for homeschooled students. We got to join a foraging course with the kids and had a great time!
There’s a communal campfire area in front of “Whiskey Beach”, a unique open air cabin structure alongside the barn. We loved getting to know Heather and Doug and their family, as well as one of the boarders named Morgan who was kind enough to let us ride her beautiful horse Hank in the newly constructed obstacle course arena.
We had a memorable and fun-filled stay at Huckleberry Farms. The property has heart and warmth, just like the hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great camping experience.
Great barn with owners that treat you like family! Beautiful property that's gives a great location that makes you feel far away from the world but yet very close to all Florida has to offer!
