Come and de-stress by snuggling our goats. These bouncing bundles of joy are guaranteed to make you smile! We also have chickens, peacocks, honeybees, and even a pig.  Beautiful sunsets on the lake!

We are a located in a rural area of Tallahassee, along the Florida Big Bend Scenic Byway and surrounded by the beautiful Lake Talquin State Forest. Great fishing and hiking trails and beautiful sunsets. Two Trailwalkers and one Trailtrotter trails are just minutes away.  There is also a 10-mile Lines Bike Trail.  See trail maps in our photos!

Private and group goat yoga classes may be available during your stay. Check the extras under our booking for schedule and to book a ticket.  You can also add milking lessons!

If we are showing booked for the dates you would like to visit us, please drop us a message.  Often the calendar here conflicts with our listings on other sites and we can probably fit you in!!

Please let us know if you are van camping so we can save a parking spot for you.  Because we rely on RV workcampers, we generally do not have RV spots available, but ask us!

We provide water, wifi, laundry, fresh eggs, and fresh fruits and veggies for the picking when in season.

We have a small outdoor kitchen area with grill, stove, utensils, and picnic table.

There is also a common room with sofas, laundry, fridge, microwave, tv, coffee pot, and kettle.

We have a small bath house with hot shower and a composting toilet. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels provided.

There are also water spigots in the camping area.

Common areas and bath house is about 250 feet from camping area, which is located adjacent to the pasture.

There is a communal fire pit and sites allow a small campfire at the site. Please bring your own in state firewood, pick some up at the way in from Country Feed Store on Highway 20, or you can collect fallen from the woods.

We can also offer 2p extra tents and gear sets for $15/$50 deposit  if you need more space.  You will need to setup/break down the extra tents yourself.  You can reserve the extra tent under extras when you book, but please ask ahead of time to be sure we have it.

Check-in/Check-out time is flexible depending upon concurrent bookings!

Dogs welcome at all sites, but never in the pasture.  Pets must be leashed during the day when our chickens free range.

Please arrive before 7:00pm. Remember, there is an hour time difference if coming from the west. Late arrivals interfere with our milking routine and we cannot stop milking to show you around. Farm folks also hit the hay pretty early! Please do not book and then tell us you will be arriving late. Thank you.

Things you should bring:

Lighting - flashlights, lantern, etc

Trash bag for your site (pack it in, pack it out, please - we have garbage and recycling receptacles)

Refillable water bottles

Sunscreen if you plan to be out on the lake

Bug Spray

One tent per booking.  Please book additional sites for additional tents.

We are located at the end of a bumpy 3/4 mile dirt road off Highway 20/Blountstown Hwy on the lake.  Part of the road is paved, but most is dirt and we are prone to flooding after more than a couple of days of hard rain.   We have several cars in the neighborhood that don't have a problem on the road, but - full disclosure!  If bumpy dirt roads bother you, our road in is not for you.  We - and most of our guests - think it is worth it.

We are about twenty five minutes from FSU stadium - straight shot! We love to host students and parents!

Please don't take it personal if we don't leave you a review!  Hipcamp gives hosts only three days to leave a review.  Once you have visited you will see how crazy busy we are at the farm and sometimes those three days pass too quickly!  We do the best we can to get reviews posted in time!  (We've been begging them to give us more time, so maybe soon!)

Feel free to message if you have questions!  The herd looks forward to meeting you!!

Goat House Farm was an amazing stop along our road trip. Melissa was a really sweet host who made us feel right at home. The goats, chickens, cats, bees, and pig were amazing and really fun to pet and hang out with. There was a lot of thought and care that went into this place. The road coming in is bumpy but we were able to get our trailer in slowly.

This was definitely a different experience. After going down a dirt road for a while we found the very whimsical place. We were greeted by another guest whom i mistook for the owner. She directed us where to go. The owner who lives on premises came out and gave me a tour of the place. She was very friendly. We brought our own tent so we set up in the pasture. We were up for the experience and elected to share the pasture with the animals. This made for an interesting experience as I forgot there was a pig there and it came to sniff around in the night. In the morning we woke up and after we got packed up we went to check out all the animals. I was nibbling on a left over salad and the animals found it very intriguing. Before long we were greeted by several goats and a large pig. The goats came and left but the pig was particularly interested in the company. She was so sweet. She followed us around all morning til we left. Great photos with the kids and an experience we'll not forgot. Definitely recommended.

My pup and I felt so welcomed and comfortable! Everything we needed was available--clean composting toilet, great big sink for washing our dishes, a fridge to keep a few supplies cold overnight, a very sweet ambience altogether. I know everyone loves the goats (what's not to love?), but I loved the chickens!

Goats and pot belly pig were super friendly. My 12 and 10 year had a great time visiting. Took some maneuvering to get our 30 ft camper in but we made it. Access to the lake is a bit tricky since it’s down a steep hill but there are boat ramps within a few miles where we set in our kayaks. Great host. Everything as advertised.

Kid with kid. Other handsome maleFriendly goat Clothing seems yummy

Melissa was very friendly and helpful! We brought my two girls, 2 year old and 5 year old. The 2 year old loved the goats and our 5 year old was over the moon to see the hog (he's a big one)!

We would definitely stay there again! We did get a few ant bites, but that's to be expected when camping. It's just something to keep an eye out for if you're pitching a tent. All in all it is a great little farm, and if you have a chance to check it out definitely do!
