The sun reflecting on the lake and the old Florida-feel of the land is beautiful. There are big trees, gators, birds, and even a nighttime chirping frog concert. Even though it had a primitive feel to me, there were flushing toilets and a warm shower. Keep in mind campfire, fishing, and wildlife gazing are all a part of the experience. Next time I'll have to get out on the water. Pure solitude or fun for a family gathering. David is an easy-going friendly host.
Beautiful place right on the lake. Nice breeze coming off lake to keep cool. Water and bathrooms on site and host is very accommodating. Super nice people, will definitely be returning.
This was a beautiful view! David has a wonderful job with the property. He was a very kind and friendly host. We enjoyed the scenery and would definitely come back. If you want a view, beautiful sunrise and sunset, this is the place!
David has an amazing spot, highly recommend! It’s tranquil, gorgeous, right on the water, & David is a very kind & welcoming host. Great trees to set up hammocks.. got the firewood bundle & had a long lasting bonfire. Lots of wildlife & frog symphonies at night!
Only one word can describe Davis’s place : BREATHTAKING.
There is everything you need there from fire pit, fire wood, shower and restroom, even fishing gear ! You are directly on lake Rousseau and the sunset and sunrises are absolutely incredible.
David is a one of a kind host, always available and kind.
We already want to come back !
By the lake, lots of potential.
We had a good, one night, stay. Loved being by the lake, and wish we got warmer & dryer weather to launch our paddleboards.
The “outdoor bathroom & shower” does leave a lot to be desired. It’s not clean, nor does it have doors, so showering and using the toilet is pretty much visible to anyone else staying there (there were two other group when we were there). Only one of two sinks works. But there is hot water.
There were a few dog poop land mines where we set up our tent, and we also came across some big pieces of broken glass while we set up camp.
This spot has a lot of potential with a bit of work.
Thanks for having us!
