Beautiful property and great hosts…it was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy nature…..and chickens. Our dogs were able to run the property, off leash, but make sure your dog doesn’t take a liking to chasing chickens!!. We can’t wait to go back.
Truck tent camping with two dogs
Lovely camping land! We stayed in a truck tent for one night and faced the tent towards the pond to look out over. Loved hearing all of the animal sounds throughout the trip, very cool! There is a flushable toilet on the grounds which is a great addition. There’s a nice pavilion and our dogs were able to be off leash the entire time. I would recommend this site to all.
We loved it so much, we added an additional night. Bree is friendly and extremely helpful. She took the time to explain how you grow mushrooms. We enjoyed scouting for the decorative mushroom statues around her land. Hidden mushrooms. :) We will be back!
This was our first HipCamp experience. We pulled in and picked our spot next to the hookups. The property is gorgeous with beautiful old oak trees which provide great shade. The pond entertained our little fishermen for hours. Close to Rainbow Spring, Goethe State Forest, KP County park. We spent an entire day just relaxing in the shade and enjoying all that nature has to offer. The pond provides the perfect foreground to the impressive sunsets. It is on a quiet, dead end street. We purchased a wheelbarrow of very dry firewood and had a great fire. Loved the chickens and Piranha. We will definitely be back.
Nature! so peaceful
Brein greeted me and made me feel welcome. She invited me to choose a spot and showed me where the water spigot and electricity is which came in handy to blow up my tent mattress! I chose a spot amongst the pines next to the pond by the fire pit. Perfect! I enjoyed all the night sounds. Frogs and crickets and chickens and even a donkey. You may want to bring earplugs just to pop in if you like to sleep in. Those chickens start early. 😊. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend in this serene natural setting. Close by Rainbow river where I kayaked. And lots f outdoor activities. The sunset at Breins place is so beautiful btw.
Rural camping near rainbow river!
Very Nice rural setting! Great camping spot, quiet except for the sounds of wildlife. If tent camping like we did the pines down near the pond offer relaxing solitude and fantastic veiws from the campfire out over the pond and acrossed the field of grass and live oaks. They have a well with an electircal outlet if you need to charge up your cameras or gopro for documenting the adventures you can have in the surrounding area! Devils Den, Blue Grotto, Rainbow River, Three Sisters Springs all close to this camp site! The hosts were fantastic very responsive and overall good people.
Millions of stars
Brein's place was really nice! Millions of stars and birds and beautiful sunsets and things hooting and howling off in the distance! Great access to the springs and things to do. We just sat under those stars...
We have a 37 foot diesel pusher and they have sand. Be careful! We had to rearrange, but we were just fine.
There are roosters, so turn on your fan accordingly. I personally like a little farm charm.
The only negative is the neighbor. Her "yard art" (read garbage) is a little much for my taste, It's a touchy subject, but dang...
Brien has great ideas for upgrades and this place is great as is, but looking forward to seeing where this goes!
