This Driftless Area property is just shy of 40 acres with about 11 acres farmed as cropland, over 25 acres wooded with some steep slopes, and the rest as lowlands with a stream. We believe it is one of the most beautiful, enchanting pieces of land in the area and are set out to help restore the strength of its ecosystem while nurturing health and wellness in the people that come to visit WILD3R Farm. Camp for a Cause! This listing supports the development of a new non-profit (The CEDAR Center) aimed at nature-based healing and restoration for marginalized people and communities. This starts with YOU! Enjoy birding, wildlife, hiking, campfires, stargazing and some amazing sunsets, as well as a view of Blue Mounds. Sit on one of our rocky bluffs, a classic feature of the Driftless Area landscape. Explore approximately 30 acres of hiking trails and hilltop views. Bringing kids or in touch with your inner child? Explore the woods to find our enchanted forest creatures and totems! Our glamping sites include a set-up Sibley 450 Bell Tent, chopped and stacked wood, a fire pit, comfortable beds and bedding, and other stylish furnishings to support your stay. Plus, we have extras available! We can introduce you to our horses, arrange sunset yoga, provide art experientials, take you on a hike at a nearby county or state park, and more! Camping at its absolute finest, with all intentions to provide a healing, connected experience. Note: this glamping experience comes with the feel of a backpacking trip. The hike to the tents is steep but we do our best to make sure that you only have to bring your clothes and your food. Let us know if there is anything you need to be comfortable during your stay. Tips for booking with extras: Book Site 1 if you are adding on the Romance Package. Book Sites 1 and 2 if you are adventuring as two groups/families and want to be close enough to share a community fire spot. Book Site 3 if you are planning to bring a dog (and let us know in advance). Book Site 4 if you are adding the Kids Kit. Pro Tip: Bring Slippers for use inside the tent! :) Access to Blue Mounds State Park, Steward Lake, Donald Park (with equestrian trails), and Tyrol Basin are all within 15-20 minutes drive. Easy access to downtown Mount Horeb cafes and shopping. All profits and donations will contribute to the start up costs of establishing the WILD3R Farm non-profit (the CEDAR Center). www.cedarcenter.org

WILD3R Camp for a Cause
My daughter and I absolutely loved camping here. The tents were gorgeous and they had fire cooking supplies and lots of small touches that you could see the care and thought put into it. Listening to the owl and coyotes at night was amazing. Plenty of land to explore and cozy furniture by the fire.

WILD3R Camp for a Cause
A Cozy + Peaceful Stay
This was by far my favorite hipcamp I've been to in a while! If you're new to camping or just looking for a peaceful place to unwind this is the perfect spot! Everything you could possibly need was taken care of like an outdoor kitchen, firewood, and a composting toilet. Jess + Elizabeth are phenomenal hosts that go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a great stay! I highly recommend adding on their equine experience even if you've never had prior interactions with horses. You'll go through a very healing + beginner friendly session with their therapy horses! No matter how much (or little) you choose to do, you'll leave feeling more relaxed + in tune with yourself. I cannot recommend the WILD3R Camp enough!

WILD3R Camp for a Cause
Great first 'camping' experience!
We had such a wonderful time at WILD3R Camp! It was our first time "camping" with our 2 yo and 5 yo and this was the perfect way to start. The tent was perfect with two single beds and one full and still space for a small table and our clothes. We added on the kids kit and they included some books, rocking horse, stuffies and kids camp chairs. Our kids loved all of it! We also rented the camping kit and so didn't need to bring anything but food which was also a win. I wasn't sure how the 'hill' up the campsite would be but it is not that big and my 2 year old could walk up it. It added to the adventure aspect. Their property was lovely and the campsites were nicely spaced out so you felt secluded. We also did the horse experience was a wonderful introduction to horses for our boys who had never seen horses up close. Jess and her partner did an amazing job making them feel comfortable around the horses and making it memorable. Jess was very responsive and helpful. Overall a wonderful experience that I highly recommend and we can't wait to go back to!

WILD3R Camp for a Cause
A nice mix of hike in and glamping. Make sure you take all your water, fuel, snacks, etc with you, but it’s such a cozy environment to stay in. Our hosts were wonderful and met us even when we pulled up late at night.

WILD3R Camp for a Cause
This is NOT glamping. Pack light.
We arrived after dark and Jessica was in the parking lot to meet us. She was very kind and informative. The walk to the camp site is not for the faint of heart. Jessica suggested that we leave some things behind until morning as the hill is quite steep. We had a rolling cooler with a bin bungee corded to the top. Also had a beach wagon to load our things, and a small dolly with 2 smaller bins. We also each had a backpack with personal effects. It was a very difficult hike up the hill pulling our wheeled bins. Even with my husband, 2 kids and Jessica helping. It had rained earlier so things were a little muddy and slick which probably made it worse. The first 1/2 of the hill is very steep then it becomes more gradual and manageable near the top. I don’t think any of the reviews i read truly described the hike to your campsite very well. It would be best to treat this as a backpacking trip. The tents were lovely and comfortable and well appointed. We did not have a picnic table at our site though i had emailed prior to confirm there was one. We had a small patio set with a small coffee table. The fire pit was great and had a cooking grate over it. The toileting facilities were less than desirable. It was a small hunting tent with a small portable composting toilet, a small garbage can for your toilet paper and a small table with hand sanitizer and baby wipes. There is absolutely no running water and no electricity. There is a small water cooler at the bottom of the hill for fresh water. It states there is hot water but it is really room temperature and you have to hike up and down the hill to access it. Also remember to bring something to put the water in. Camp is very remote and quiet and tents are spread apart so that’s nice for privacy. I would only recommend this site for experienced campers that don’t mind truly roughing it. This is NOT glamping. Jessica was lovely and very helpful.
