This park caters for only fully self contained travellers, so therefore must provide their own toilet, shower, water and cooking facilities. We do provide rubbish disposal and your pets are welcome but we do ask that you clean up after them. The nearest dump point for waste disposal and potable water is at the Northcliffe Visitor Centre.

We are fortunate to have the Warren National Park on our doorstep, and a commercial license to operate tours and camping in our National Parks. Graeme and I started WA Wilderness in 2014 as part of our 'Pemberton Discovery Tours' when the then 'Department of Conservation' realised that there were a lot of people who don't do camping due to a multitude of factors; these include: Time, Lack of Equipment, Newbie's who want to 'give it a go' before investing in expensive camping equipment and even baby moons, or camping with little children when every inch of space in the car is precious.
So, we operate in the Warren National Park, it is some 8000Ha of National Park and stunningly beautiful Karri Forest, our campsites are located near the Warren River and are separate, so although you may see other campers you are not on top of each other.
We set up everything for you, so all you have to do is turn up with your food and your family. To keep our pricing down we offer optional linen, so you can choose to bring your favourite doona. The sites are also unpowered however we offer 12V lighting and the option for a portable toilet. (There is a toilet on site as well.)
There are steps leading into the river, the perfect place to paddle or dip your feet. We have a maximum of 8 sites on location here so there is plenty of space for privacy.
We are only 15 minutes from the beautiful town of Pemberton, complete with wineries, galleries, restaurants, shopping and much more! You may also wish to join a tour or two - the Pemberton Tram runs daily, and we give you mates rates on our tours.
We find our camps are perfect for busy people, who wish to try / go camping and value the opportunity to turn up to a complete camp, set up for you to enjoy from the start.

Peppermint Farm

Peppermint Farm is a beautiful regenerative agriculture farm set in a magnificent Karri Forest. It is a quiet, secluded and peaceful area with abundant wildlife, tree plantations, orchards and seasonal vegetables.
There is plenty to see and do in the surround areas, you can check out the amazing Yeagarup Dunes nearby that rise metres above the surrounding karri forest. They are the largest land-locked mobile dune system in the southern hemisphere. You can explore by foot or by 4WD if you are an experienced driver.
Yeagarup Lake is a gateway to the dunes and a great place to stop and enjoy a picnic by the water.
The Greater Beedelup National Park is nearby where you can explore the many walking trails and check out the Beedalup Falls.

About
Probably best known as the home of the really, really tall Gloucester Tree, Gloucester National Park in Pemberton has plenty more to offer besides one of the world’s best climbing trees, which was used as a fire lookout back in the 1940s. Campers can check out the great walking and mountain bike tracks, as well as the Karri Forest Explorer, an 86-kilometre driving trail that winds its way through the towering forests. And, while there’s no camping in the park itself, campers have plenty of options in the neighbouring national park or nearby Big Brook Arboretum, which is both a wildlife haven and a great spot to set up camp—especially in spring when all the trees are in flower.

Tips for snagging a campsite
- There aren’t any campsites in Gloucester National Park, but that’s just an opportunity to go exploring and see what else is around. Nearby national park campgrounds include Warren National Park and the Big Brook Arboretum, which operate on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as Shannon Campground, which can be booked 180 days in advance.
- Summer and school holidays are the busiest times to camp, so you’ll want to get down early to snag a spot—and make sure you have a backup campsite (or two), just in case.
- Campgrounds in Warren National Park are best accessed with 4WD in the winter months and after rain. Having a 4WD is absolutely not essential to visit Gloucester National Park, but it does also open up more options for camping in summer as well.
When to go
Gloucester National Park is open all year round, though most campers tend to visit during the summer months when the weather is best. While winter can be a little wet, May to October is the perfect time to go camping and explore the bush when it’s all green and misty and beautiful. It’s also prime time to score a quiet campsite and enjoy a campfire (fires are not allowed during the hot summer months). Spring campers will also have the chance to catch some of southwestern Western Australia’s famed wildflower displays.
Know before you go
- Gloucester National Park is located on the edges of Pemberton in Australia’s southwest. The park is best known for the Gloucester Tree, which is a huge climbing tree with pegs, platforms, and no safety nets.
- There are plenty of food and drink options in Pemberton and a caravan park if you prefer staying closer to the action.
- Most of the national park and DPAW campground facilities are pretty limited, with only composting toilets and no drinking water, but there are plenty of shops and roadhouses for supplies and fuel along the way.
