Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R&R as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups, family reunions, workshops, or what have you. A rustic kitchen, two 6' dining tables, and a fire pit with accessories make setting up camp a cinch. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm there is something of interest for everyone here. If you're looking to explore the area a bit, Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all just day trips from here. In addition, we are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect 'meet in the middle' location. Locally, lakes Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Just five minutes away, Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing opportunities, summer concerts, and a playground for the kids. At camp. you can pick a deer trail and walk through a budding new forest or pick a bunch of wild blackberries, apples, mushrooms, or flowers. Enjoy communing with our goat, rabbit, turkey, chicken, and duck friends. Other animals include deer, skunk, coyote, and possum—bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out. While the campsite, play space, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild so bring your tromping shoes. We also have a playfield (with a net) so pack your movie screen, volleyball, soccer ball, bicycles or lawn darts too. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. If you do book, we are certain you’ll enjoy making Pleasant Places your outdoor home-away-from-home.Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R&R as well as ample space for play and activities. Pleasant Places
Group Camping with Animals
Such a great spot and an even better host! Even though it was muddy this weekend we had such a great time. The kitchen and campfire area are perfect for big groups and outdoor cooking. Plenty of room for multiple trailer camping as we did and having the farm animals available to pet for the kiddos was perfect. I would 100% recommend this spot for big groups. We have had our 3-year-old birthday there the last year now.

2nd Time at Pleasant Places
This is our second time camping at Summer’s Pleasant Places. We came back because we love the land, like how close it is to fun lakes, and because Summer is a great host. The camping area is spacious and there is lots of room for activities, parking, and tents. The camping area is a good distance away from houses, feels secluded from the neighbors etc. We enjoy using the clean porta potty, and the sink that Summer has set up in the camping area. We would love to come back again next year!

Large groups or families!
The perfect spot for a family or large group. Very kid friendly. There are spaces for tents, RVs or car camping as well as open areas for activities / games. We could not have asked for a better stay. Summer was incredibly kind and accommodating to our group. The outdoor kitchen area was so great and made food prep and cooking easy. We will be back!

Welcoming and fun camping
We have a wonderful multi-family camping trip. We had four families, with room for all of our tents, lots of room for the kids to play and explore. Great camp kitchen already set up with a sink and dishes. Summer is so amazing, very responsive and helpful. She is so welcoming. We had so much fun seeing the goats and brand new baby chicks. It was a wonderful experience
