Hike or bike 2 miles into a completely secluded cabin on 600 acres with panoramic views of the Green Mountains. Chilly evenings in the hut are easily tempered by a pot belly stove fed by seasoned wood. A built in bunk accommodates two people, but it’s possible to sleep up to four guests.

Pitch a tent near or next to your vehicle or park a small to medium sized camper and use it as a base camp while you explore Vermont.  We are centrally located to Bethel, Royalton, Queechee, Woodstock, Rutland, Killington, Waitsfield, Randolph, Barre and Montpelier. What is there to do? Visit to our secret swimming hole located nearby...and White River access just down the road. Just up the road is the popular Silver Lake and State Park, great swimming, sunbathing, paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing.  We are close to interesting activities, such as the White River National Fish Hatchery, Billings Farm, the Queechee Balloon festival, and more. Near by farm stands sell fresh organic produce, eggs, grass fed meats, homemade food products and crafts. What is there to eat and drink? Nearby restaurants include The Barnard Inn, Cloudland, Toziers, Tessi’s Tavern, Locust Creek Diner, The Bethel Sandwich Shop, Cockadoodle and Village Pizza. Babe’s Bar in Bethel offers amazing creative cocktails in an old railway station. In the village of South Royalton 12 miles away is our local Co-op. There you can access lots of healthy food choices, many locally sourced and lots of drinks, it's our go to market. Three miles up Route 12 is the Barnard General Store and gas station they have just about everything a camper could want. They stock ice, fresh baked goodies, fruit and vegetables, prepared foods and many locally produced delights such as ice cream, kombucha and fresh baked goods. Their meat case features, sausages, thick pork chops, fresh air chilled chicken, local grass fed beef and they always have fresh Farro Island salmon. They also offer wine, beer and ciders.  A mile away on 107 is the Locust Creek General Store and gas station, they uniquely offer block ice, diesel and kerosene, drinks, simple fresh sandwiches, many frozen foods and lots of newspapers. Vast private oasis

Amazing location with panoramic views of the Vermont Green Mountain range, this property adjoins a public 9 hole golf course. Located on over 260 private and secluded acres, property also has a 2 acre pond for swimming, paddling or just relaxing. There are several miles of maintained hiking trails meandering throughout the forest, ranging from an easy walk, to hilly and somewhat challenging. Many varieties of tent locations or places to park an RV, pop up, or car. This is considered a "Primitive camp site". There is no shower, toilet or electric available at this time, but well water can be had from our residence, via a hose spigot on the side of our home. This is our 3rd year of hosting, and due to the overwhelming popularity of having an abundance of privacy, we will continue to be only hosting one party at a time. Which means you'll get the privilege of not having to share your surroundings with anyone else! Your own private camp ground! We are hoping this all works out and intend to continuously improve amenities, activities and overall experience. We are hoping to provide an exceptional value and experience that will bring back repeat campers, that we can trust and build a rapport. We are looking forward to meeting you! There will be a picnic table, two Adirondack chairs, and a firepit on site, for your convenience. Firewood will be available on site as well, for an additional $4.00 night, as an extra.

Located 17 mins from Middlebury , 50 mins from Burlington, 45 mins from killington and 25 from Rutland In the summer on weeknights and weekend evenings , more likely than not you will hear the live music from town almost as if you’re right there listening . We encourage decent volumed music and all the laughter you can, we just ask out of decency to our neighbors to keep it down after 10pm on weeknights and 11:30 on weekends. (Yelling/inconveniently loud music) We have fire pits located at your site, and a communal one on the main property level. Water is accessible by hose on the main property level as well. Enjoy petting the goats Thelma and sally struthers , and getting to know them, or our dog and security guard / herder (but very loving and non aggressive ) Odin. If you’d prefer not to be on the woods, we also have the top property field where you have an amazing view of the green mountains along with the rest of the main property and gardens. We sell organic vinegars, beeswax wraps, pickled Veg, ramp salts & butter spreads , and stone ground organic mustards on site, so don’t be afraid to ask ! Enjoy your evening watching the sun go down on the mountains with a glass of wine up by the gardens in a lawn chair, or fishing the neshobe and cooking your catch riverside with a cold beer . (We have a kayak on the beach for our customers to use when available) there is a fire pit located at each site. Hiking, swimming ,skiing snow shoeing and thousands of miles of trails are all conviently located within a 5-50 min drive with SO MANY lakes and mountains and trails to choose from. We are in the works of building our outhouse and solar showers so currently we supply you during your stay with us : a solar shower bag, a compost bucket toilet with compostable bags,hand sanitizer and a food scrap bucket w/ lid (food scraps only please) we have a compost area where you can discard the food waste on property . Currently we ask you follow the “carry in carry out”policy with trash. We can’t wait to meet you! And someone is usually here 23/7 to help you with whatever you might need. You won’t regret stopping by Wonderlost regardless of if it’s last minute 1 night pass through, or a week long stay.

BlueberryHill Field Camp

The field is adjacent to the Blueberry Hill Inn and Outdoor and in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest and Moosalamoo Recreation Area. Great sunsets! We offer access to outdoor showers with hot and cold running water and toilets in the nearby Outdoor Center. There is an internet connection near the buildings but not necessarily at your site. You can drive your car to the site. There is privacy between the sites though occasionally there are other tents in the open field. You can forage for wood for a small fire or you can request 'bundles' (a small cartful) to be available upon arrival. Wood from outside Vermont is not allowed. Access to many hiking/biking/running trails just outside your tent door. We are stewards of these trails and your camping fees help to support our work. Nearby swimming, kayaking, and canoeing are available too. We provide trail maps upon arrival and you can also view them online from our webpage at Blueberry Hill Inn. Our farm is rich in history, Red Coats traveled through the forests to the Hubbardton Battlefield, and is one of the original homesteads in Hubbardton.  The farmhouse was built in approximately 1787 by one of the Hubbard Family Brothers.  We purchased the farm in 2020 and are working hard to restore it to a working farm.Learn more about this land:Tent camp on our farm with amazing views of Lake Bomoseeen, the Green Mountains, Taconic Mountains, & Adirondacks!  Started in 2020, Frog Hollow Farms is a no-till, sustainably focused 98 acre farm located in historic Hubbardton, VT.   We focus on growing heirloom vegetables and raise heritage breed cows, sheep, goats & chickens.   Our farm stand features fresh produce, freshly baked bread, & specialty foods like Maple Bourbon Apple Butter, Basil Syrup, freshly made marshmallows, & other small batch artisan items.   We have 3 campsites throughout the farm that are separated from each other, however, as this is a working farm, there is the chance of hikers and/or workers near your site.  While we try to keep disturbances to a minimum, it is a possibility.   Fire rings are at each site, but please let us start your fire for you, as we need to protect the forestland around us!   Grab a freshly baked muffin or scone for breakfast, or a sandwich or salad made by our Exec Chef and Co-Owner, perfect for a picnic lunch in the orchard, by the fire, or take it to go while you travel Vermont.    We have hiking trail throughout our farm.   We also host farm dinners & bonfires occasionally throughout the season.Just around the corner is the historic Hubbardton Battlefield & Taconic Mountain Ramble State Park, Lake Bomoseen is a 10 minute drive.   We are 25 minutes from Rutland & Forty-five minutes from Killington, Pico.
