Friendly and transparent
I had planned to tent at The Shady80 with my dog and kids for the eclipse. Bud was very responsive and great at updating me on the weather changes and field conditions, and describing ammenities. After oir day of travel had unexpected things come up, we didn't end up staying and instead chose to deal with traffic back home, but Bud's friendliness and prices were wonderful. I hope to try again with better weather and look forward to camping there!

Camped on Bud's land to see the eclipse and it was amazing! He and his family were great hosts and made sure we were all set, even after the unexpected snow a few days before our trip. The site is beautiful and we're so glad Bud shared it with us :)

We stayed here for the eclipse and Bud and his family were very accommodating. There were a good number of groups and it was very muddy (understandable for April, especially a few days after a snowstorm) but there was plenty of room for everyone. He arranged enough parking so that our small car didn’t get stuck in the mud. This would be a perfect spot outside of mud season, but it was also perfect for many of us to view the eclipse. Bud’s family even came around offering treats in the evening. There is no running water but the privy was fairly new and there were several good spots for campfires. We had a great time!
