Come meet our goats, longhorns, donkeys, bison and more (from a distance)!The camping/parking area is located in a large field off of the famous and beautiful Old Highway 9 (Old San Antonio Road), an historic Native American Trading Trail dating back over a thousand years. The entrance is just a short drive south of the Bankersmith Saloon on the right hand side. Look for the Grapetown Vineyard sign and head on up the asphalt road.

Guests can enjoy this Texas Original with concerts, festivals most Saturdays (google The Best of Texas Festivals) or even just by stopping by for live music (played Wed-Sun), GREAT FOOD and a cold drink. The Saloon and Restaurant is open Wed-Sun (Cowboy Church on Sundays)! Campers are of course allowed to bring in food or drink on the campgrounds but it may be easier to enjoy the food from Bankersmith’s Restaurant and Full Bar literally across the street! Voted the Best Hamburgers in Town, Steaks, Ribs, Pork Chops, Salads, Chicken Wings and more! A fun Steak Night on Friday nights. Porky Thursdays with fresh off the pit Ribs and BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches. A Dance Hall, Ghost Sightings and whole lot more (even Fried Bull Testicles)! This Bankersmith Texas Campground is primitive on site but guests are welcome to use both the restrooms and water sources across the street, in the Saloon, when open. You are in Texas. Fences and Gates are God's way of saying, 'Respect Private Property'. You do not want to go over, under, through one of our fences without our permission or open a gate without our explicit permission. EVER. Do not enter animal pens or put your hand or arms through fences. Do NOT allow dogs to go in, or to bark at animals. We have animals on the other side of these fences that will kill both man and beast. We keep our gates locked for everyone's safety. Never open a gate without a certified employee. (Petting through the fence is NOT allowed!)
Do not feed anything to our furry friends. We welcome ya'll like family, but that means respecting our property and animals like they are your own. Be smart and courteous and keep all gates locked and everyone stays happy.If there is anything that would make your stay more comfortable please feel free to ask for Bobby or Kayla at the Saloon. We'd put our numbers here so ya'll could text but HipCamp does not allow it.

Kaz always had a DREAM to help kids with Life Skills & Mentor in God’s Principles because she had Christian Mentors growing up! They were always there for her through her life & kept her focused down the right path & stayed out of trouble & learned a tremendous amount from them! Bill her husband supports her & they raised 7 children together & have 8 grandkids. Katz father was Aspergers Autistic and from 5 years old started showing Kaz hands on learning skills that are still instilled in her today! She found this to be a Valuable Lesson from her Dad. These methods & skills through the years working with her own children & other children through the years with different organizations

beneficial and encouraging for the children growing up. Bill & Kaz have shared equally through all they’re projects during they’re 40 years of marriage. They’re Jack Of All Trades, Artists, Shown in Art Shows, Remodeled Homes, Churches, & Etc. Park your RV next to a gorgeous view and watch the sunsets and the bats emerge when they are in season. There is a fire ring for when the burn ban is off. We are within a quarter mile (walking distance) to the Old Tunnel State Park and Alamo Springs Cafe bragging the best burgers in Texas. We are also three miles from famous Bankersmith and ten miles from Luckenbach. Fredericksburg town is 20 minutes and there are many wineries in the area. We also live on the property (building a house) so we can be of some help if needed.23 miles away you have Blanco State Park. Situated along a one-mile stretch of the spring-fed Blanco River, the small but mighty Blanco State Park is very family-friendly, offering the spectacular Falls Dam, nature trails, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and deep water for a good, refreshing swim. The stocked river is teeming with largemouth and Guadalupe bass, catfish, sunfish, and rainbow trout, and can be an excellent place for beginning anglers (you can even borrow equipment for free)Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.

a spring feed tributary creek which flows year around feeding into the Blanco River just a few miles away or hillside with amazing views of the river valley. You will enjoy the babbling creek, miles of hiking and biking trails, cooling off in the creek, scenic hilltop views, solitude, bold sunrises and sunsets, and a brilliant night sky. We have numerous old growth hardwood trees including Live Oaks, Spanish oaks, Elm, Escarpment Cherry, Black walnut, and Ashe Juniper (cedar) one of which has the largest circumference in Texas. We have a wide selection of native and migratory wildlife that calls this place home including white tail deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, jack rabbits, road runners, seasonal songbirds and butterflies. We are just minutes away from Blanco State Park and a short drive to Pedernales Falls or Guadalupe River State Park. Note due to an extreme drought in the greater area this year that the spring fed creek and local rivers are currently not flowing. Pray for rain.

MILTON REIMERS RANCH COUNTY PARK (2.5 mi) is nearby and is open for hiking, swimming, fishing, rock climbing, and cycling. Dogs on a leash allowed at Reimers. CASH ONLY! $5/per person, no reservation required. We love it there!
WEST CAVE OUTDOOR DISCOVERY CENTER (2.6 mi) is open by reservation only for guided tours of the waterfall/cave-no swimming allowed. No dogs allowed at West Cave
PEDERNALES FALLS STATE PARK (34 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking and swimming. Dogs on a leash allowed
ENCHANTED ROCK STATE NATURAL AREA (71 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking on weekends and holidays.
If we are not under a burn ban, BRING FIREWOOD and/or charcoal because we have fire rings and BBQ cookers at most of the sites. If we are under a burn ban, campfires (even in fire rings) are not allowed, but bring some charcoal because you may still use BBQ Cookers, which we have at each of our sites. You may also use a campstove if you wish to bring one.

Our ranch was originally part of the enchanted Rock property owned by Mr Moss. It is currently a 6th generation ranch. Original ranch was 1767 acres.
The highest elevation is 1600'. You can locate us on Google Earth by searching for Dooley Wahl Rd Llano, Texas.
We have secluded camping available. Primitive tent camping, or if you want to go glamping you can bring an RV with a generator and be even more secluded but still have the comfortable amenities of an RV.

Contact outdoorsy.com. you can rent an RV. They will deliver it, set it up and pick it up. Remember to ask for a generator.

German residents settled in Fredericksburg beginning in the 1830s, and the town’s Old World charm is still evident throughout the region’s cuisine and hospitality today. Visitors flock to the state’s best known wine trail that winds along Highway 290 from Fredericksburg to Johnson City, filled with more than 50 wineries and tasting rooms, along with a few distilleries making noteworthy Texas whiskey and vodka. Peach season is a fun summertime activity, when you can visit orchards for fresh-picked peaches, cobblers, and peach ice cream. Nearby, a giant pink batholith called Enchanted Rock beckons hikers to take on its heady journey to the top, and cycling through Hill Country’s namesake hills is another worthy physical challenge.

Johnson City and nearby Stonewall are within a 30-minute drive of Fredericksburg along Highway 290 and its wine country. This was the boyhood home of President Lyndon B. Johnson, and you’ll find Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, where you can explore his roots as well as his “Texas White House,” where he lived and worked during his tenure.
