Sugarloafers is located on a portion of the old Ocoee Outdoors Zipline. It is nestled along the lower Ocoee river with great views of Sugarloaf and Big Frog Mountains. This is an excellent gateway to Parksville Lake and the Cherokee National Forest and all the activities it affords including whitewater rafting on the Hiwasee and Ocoee Rivers, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Lazy River Tubing, Fishing, and so much more! Our property is one of nine - 5 acre tracts along the river. As of Fall of 2022, one house has been built and it is on a lot adjacent to this one. So while this site is some distance from the house, it is currently within view. Within a mile from the end of the driveway there is: Food - Myrtles Cafe, a Subway Sandwich Shop and the Gondoler restaraunt. Whitewater Outfitters - Ocoee Outdoors, NOC Ocoee Outpost, ACE Ocoee Adventures Other - Rock Creek Oufitters Ocoee Store, Ocoee Express Gas Station and Convenience Store, Sugarloaf River Park and Parksville Dam and the entrance to the Cherokee National Forest! Dollar General - 4.2 miles back towards Cleveland (because someone forgot their phone charging cable). Middle Ocoee Private boater takeout is only a 10 minute drive!Pitch your tent along the lower Ocoee river and set your hammock up in adjacent pine trees. Enjoy watching the river flow from the top of the boulder or sit at the picnic table to enjoy a cool beverage. Build a fire in the fire ring and enjoy your stay after a day of recreation! All in a nicely shaded area. Just a 10 minute drive from the Middle Ocoee River take out and 5 minute drive to the Parksville Lake boat ramps.  The Ocoee Express gas station is 1/2 mile down the road and has a Subway and an excellent selection of adult beverages.  Grab a bite to eat just down the road at the Gondolier, Ocoee Dam Deli or The Bus if you're hungry.    Be sure to check out breakfast at Myrtle's across the street but check hours ahead of time.   If time permits, consider driving Hwy 64 into beautiful Ocoee Gorge up to Copperhill (25 miles/35 minutes one way) where there are many shops and several breweries.   Make Sugarloafers your base camp for for the Cherokee National Forest!

We loved our stay at Sugarloafers. The birds were so beautiful to hear next to the water. We will be back again!

10/10 PERFECT Destination!
10/10 recommend! Of course we went on a chilly windy week but none the less this site was equipped with the perfect view perfect fire set up hammocks & just about anything we could have wanted out of our stay. RIGHT on the river the most perfect view and secluded just enough to feel like we were totally alone and not on someone’s property. And the scenes and odd places to visit were so neat!! Would definitely take a trip back!

Totally worth it.
My family and I stayed two nights here and the only issue is we didn’t stay longer. Great area, all three of my kids gave it a 10 out of ten and we will be back soon with a bigger group. Very clean porta John and site.

Great private spot!
We had a great time camping with our two small children on Brian’s land but it would have been a perfect private spot without children too. What a peaceful spot to enjoy both river and mountain views. It was only a quick drive up the mountain for awesome hiking as well. You can hear some road noise but it really was just like white noise in the background. There is a house in the property nearby but it’s far enough away it still feels private. Trees have been planted so I’m sure you won’t even be able to see it before long! The added touches like the hammocks, Adirondack chairs, umbrellas over the picnic tables and spotless port-a-potty (cleanest I’ve ever seen) made this such a nice stay. This will definitely be added to our list of places to come back to!
