PLEASE NOTE: The access code to the gate changes weekly. Check your access instructions for the correct gate code. Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in, a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for off-road vehicles, bike, tent, and hammock camping. Our Campsites: Sites 1 through 11 are along the tree line that borders Burnett Creek. Site 12 is not on the creek and is up on a hill that overlooks the meadow. Lucky number 13 is located in the meadow across from campsite 5. Sites 1 and 2 are off the main path and have a grass/dirt access that can get muddy after a lot of rain. Sites 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 13 are easily accessed by a gravel road. Sites 8, 9, 11 and 12 are located on a dirt/grass road on other side of a ditch - some vehicles may not be able to drive to this area and will need to park about 50 yards away. (New owners will be installing a culvert in the coming months for easier access to this area.) There are fire pits all sites. Many trees are suitable for hammock camping in the sites along the river. Campsites are labeled by number from left to right upon entering the drive, except for 13 which is in the meadow across from site 5. Each site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Potable water and a shared portable bathroom are on site. ***New owners will be making some changes to the campground in the coming months. Please let us know what you liked and what changes you would like to see after your stay!***

Excellent place. I decided to go to another state and go camping and this was a wonderful place not too far from the city but not too close either. 5 stars I highly recommend you check this place out if your travelling. The Uber to downtown Knoxville was $8

Simple site, fire pit, water spigot, porta-john. It is very well maintained, with the rainfall the hosts laid down pine straw on the muddy areas and always kept the bathroom very clean. Close to a lot of fun activities and they should be growing an orchard soon!

**Campsite 9 Review: Disappointing Experience with Unhelpful Owners** Our stay at Campsite 9 was unfortunately marred by a series of frustrating encounters with the campground owners. While the natural surroundings were beautiful, the lack of assistance when we encountered a problem left a sour taste in our mouths. One significant issue arose when our vehicle got stuck in the mud on the campground premises. Despite reaching out to the owners for assistance, we found them to be unresponsive and unhelpful. With no other options available, we were forced to call a tow truck, incurring a hefty fee of $175 to free our vehicle from the mud. This lack of support and empathy from the campground owners significantly detracted from our overall experience. While we understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, the lack of assistance or willingness to help resolve the situation left us feeling disappointed and frustrated. In conclusion, while Campsite 9 may offer picturesque surroundings, the lack of support from the owners in times of need tarnished our experience. For those considering a stay, be aware of the potential challenges you may face without the assistance of the campground staff.

Quick camping stop
It was great staying here! We made our reservation just a few hours before we rolled in and had no issues. It was rainy throughout the night when we were there. Sites did get muddy, as it says in the description, but nothing too terrible! Kat responded very quickly to messages. We would certainly come back to stay!

The campsite was very well maintained and clean! They owners were very helpful when my hubby accidently locked the keys in our car. We had another camper message Kat and Aaron. They were on their way to help if we needed. Directions were easy to understand. They even had firewood and some cooking stuff available if we needed them.

Knoxville rocks!
Super easy all the way through. Beautifully kept sites and the cleanest porta potty I’ve ever seen/smelled! The proximity to Knoxville’s mountain biking Mecca, the Urban Wilderness is unmatched.
