Primitive camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

8 acres, grand oaks, 1 mile to downtown Charleston(there is NO campground closer to downtown Charleston) PETS ARE ALLOWED, 1/2 mile to James Island county park, 4 miles to Folly Beach, Central to everything Charleston,SC and James Island,SC. Hiking, swimming, walking trails, climbing park, are all within a mile or two. all grocery stores, including a Walmart are within 1 mile. This property offers dry camping only. Best suited for Rv's that are self-contained.There is a dump station at the county park one half mile away. If you contact me with an ETA, the gate will be open when u arrive. Follow the road to your right, around the Grand Oak to the back of the property..The RV pad is hidden from view and will be on your right when you get all the way to the back.It is a big pad and can accommodate most any rig. When you are staying on the property please close the gate as you come and go. When your stay is done, DO NOT worry about closing the gate, I will take care of it.Please clean up after your pets.This is a gravel RV pad that is at the back of the property. It is well hidden from view and U will not see it until u drive all the way to the back of the property. This is where you will park. Campers can actually Google the address: 680 Riverland Drive ,Charleston,South Carolina 29412 and get a good satellite view of this property. It is centrally located to Downtown Charleston and James Island county park. EVERYTHING is nearby. Campers with pets be sure to clean up after them.Thanks

If you're able to dry camp, this property is in a great location for seeing Charleston and the beaches. Jeff has created a packed level gravel RV pad that has mostly shade (ok to use a generator). It's very private. Jeff is super nice. Would stay again if ever in the area. I stayed here in a 27 ft class c motorhome and a small honda crv.

Hidden in Charleston

Very nice secluded site so close to Charleston. Able to park and explore the town otherwise nearly impossible to see the town with truck and big rig trying to find a spot. I would love to own his property. Thanks Jeff for sharing your piece of Carolina beautiful property with so much potential.

Easy to navigate 32 foot trailer to site. Private and quiet. Shady site. Really close to downtown Charleston. Jeff (host) is friendly and helpful.

Awesome Spot!

This place is a true treasure. It puts you in a great spot to explore the Charleston area. You have a lot of space. We would highly recommend! Jeff is very kind and a great host.
