Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
A GREAT WINTER CAMPING SPOT ! Gum Gully was the name of the gully where the original settlers met for local church worship under a large gum tree. This campsite is located Eastern Adelaide hills & adjacent to Lavender Federation Trail. Kangaroos can be seen at sunrise & at dusk. Site 1 - Lorikeet Plains
Good chilled out spot, nice and relaxed but still close enough to some cool little towns. Will stay again if in the area

Site 2 - Echidna Place
Mixed Feelings
Overall the campsites are nicely spread out so you don’t feel like you’re next to people. If you were in a large group it would be great to book out the whole place. The signage was super helpful and it was easy to find everything. We were in campsite 2, unfortunately there was no shade. Under the one gym tree in our site, there was stinging nettle as “grass”, so we weren’t able to use that area. Both ourselves and our dog were covered in bindis, and had rashes from the nettles. Because of how dry everything is at the moment, there was only crunch dead grass and dirt. Apart from site 1 & 2, the other sites had a good amount of shade. Although it was peak time for Easter, we found that $72 was a little steep for what we had (however this is personal opinion)

Site 1 - Lorikeet Plains
Owners are bloody lovely! It is a no-utility site so very much a BYO everything. A lot of grass seeds when I was there unfortunately (October). Otherwise great. I booked all campsites so I had the whole paddock for a birthday event and it was so much space. It was really wonderful and everyone had a great time. Beautiful sunset and great serenity from the urban life. Definitely recommend it and the owners. ☺️

Site 3 - Tawny Dragon Retreat
Great location, camping spots not
Great location, but the area was not flat at all and the weeds in the camp spot were quite high. Nice owner, but probably won't return.

Site 6 - Kookaburra Gum
Very nice spot, site 6 is more private and sheltered with trees and low lying bushes. The ground is sloping in the cleared area but we managed to level our caravan ok. Note our caravan was only a 16ft pop top and just squeezed through the trees and over hanging branches to get to the cleared site. The boys tents were pitched in the tree line which more flat and sheltered from the wind. . Only 25 minutes from Murray Bridge. So a good base of operations. The dirt roads leading to the area are very well maintained.
