Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
We have 69 acres within the Barambah Wine Trail (which is located in Moffatdale, near Murgon, QLD). Our property backs onto the Bjelke Petersen Dam. Our property offers direct access to Lake Barambah from your large grassy campsite. You can enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake while relaxing around your camp fire. The lake itself is wide and deep, and safe for swimming (properly supervised) and all your favourite water activities. There is also basic access to launch small boats. Dusty Hill Wines is just down the road and offers local wine tasting and some great meals in their restaurant. There are also some other wineries in the area you can explore and enjoy. If you want to get your heart rate up, we are 25 minutes from Kinombi Falls where you can enjoy a number of stairs to get to the top. The waterfall is often quite small but the surrounding area is beautiful and the stairs are a good workout. You will need to be fully self contained as we have no showers or toilets available. Campers will need to take all waste with them on departure.  Pets are welcome.

Great camping spot 👌
Had a great time. The lake is huge, plenty of space out there to enjoy yourself without having other boats/ jetski around. The host was very accommodating and welcoming 😀. The camp site was good too but not many flat places. The farm animals there were cute and friendly. There are no facilities there, but there is a dump point 3min up the road. Would definitely come back again

The perfect camp spot
Was absolutely amazing, location was so good. Clint made everything easy and nothing was any trouble including changing the number of people coming multiple times over a very busy weekend. Highly recommend & we will be back.

Room With aView
This place is picturesque with the overview of the Dam. Plenty of room for everyone. We did arrive I wet weather just prior to Easter so got in/out before the rush.

Beautiful views
Fabulous place to stay right on the lake. It was veery hot so other than a visit to Dusty Hill Winery and the Irish Tavern we spent most of our time in the water.

Peace and tranquility
A lovely quiet spot with camping right next to the dam. Heaps of birds, turtles. Lots of insects but surprisingly few mozzies! Highly recommend Hidden Gold Homestead for a relaxing getaway. You will need to be fully self-sufficient, and grey water into containers but there is a dump point at the dam just a couple of k’s away. Murgon is only 10km away and can provide all your supplies. Wineries close by and the dam is great for kayaking, swimming, and fishing. We were lucky enough to have the place virtually to ourselves for 4 days, but even when a large group arrived late in the week they were ‘around the bend’ on the dam so no issues with noise. We have two elderly border collies and they were not disturbed by the other group and their dogs either. Our hosts were unobtrusive but available if we had any questions. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
