These rolling 86 acres of Appalachian foothill cover meadow, stream, ridged woodland, and contains a huge spectrum of native edible and medicinal plants as well as a plethora of wildlife. From fall 2019 to fall 2020, approximately 2400 plants were placed in the ground via agroforestry buffers, to be cultivated for future native food sources. Some of these native species include, black raspberry, high bush blueberry, serviceberry, gooseberry, persimmon, quince, pawpaw, hickory, beechnut, chestnut, sugar maple, black locust, elderberry and more. Our 1976 Vintage Tag-A-Long is a cozy and sweet camper, great for two adults, or two adults and a child! Two additional adults are welcome to set up a tent or car camp by the Tag-A-Long for an additional $10/person per night. The camper is hooked up to electricity- AC included if needed, cold water, and has memory foam toppers on both the full-size bed and the single bunk to make for a great night's sleep. **Please note that the single bunk is only for a child's use due to its weight capacity and length.** The table and chairs comfortably seat three people, and the kitchen has a double burner hot plate, french press, pots/pans/ cooking and eating utensils, microwave, toaster oven, and a 4cu foot fridge with a freezer box- so you have all the amenities you need to cook indoors if you like. The camper is dotted with fairy lights and plenty of other lighting options so you can adjust the lights to fit your mood. There is storage space for dry goods, toiletries, and other personal items, and two folding chairs and TV trays are stowed under the bed and in the bathroom nook for use outside. Beyond the camper, we have a beautiful outdoor shower with a western view of the hills and valley, offering a little slice of heaven to shower and watch the sunset. We also have a barn that is open for enjoyment in the upper middle section, which has strung lights and a constant breeze. This section of the barn has two couches, two tables, some other chairs, and even a few hammocks to enjoy if you choose. There is also a fire ring between the camper and the barn, and we are happy to assist you in building a fire if you'd like. Wifi is available, and campers may use our gas grill if they'd like to grill out- we just ask that you please clean it after use, and be sure the gas is turned off. All food must be secured in the camper or in your vehicle- as we have a lot of wildlife that passes through the property- and they won't hesitate to check out your goody stash if it is left available. ***PLEASE NOTE: We have a composting toilet just beyond the camper that is to be used for all bathroom relief needs-- the toilet in the camper is NOT for use.*** ***We have two dogs and two cats- the cats are free roaming, and are curious about people- but are fairly shy. The dogs will always be leashed during your stay, and their tethers are long, but they cannot reach the camper. The little dog Odie likes and gets along with everyone. The big dog Kiva loves women, but is unsure of men and little kids- so she is kept more tightly to the house. Possible logistics to prep for: ticks, poison ivy, cool nights, strong winds, as well as target practice and fireworks on surrounding farms on occasion. In general about the farm: During the summer and fall, you will see a lot of native plants including goldenrod, plantain, clover, queen anne's lace, red osier dogwood, hawthorne berry, blackberry, elderberry, wild teasel, cattails, mullin, milkweed, and year-round, the walnuts, willows, evergreens, hickories, paperbark birch and more will be easily spotted. The Milk Way is visible on clear nights, and we have great views of meteor showers when they occur. Our farm is home to lots of critters as well- so you may hear or see signs of coyotes, bears, turkeys, owls, eagles, hawks, muskrats, deer, snakes, raccoons, foxes and plenty of songbirds. Lake Raystown, Lake Raystown Resort & Waterpark, Tatmun Run, and Trough Creek State Park are all 10-15minutes from the farm. The Juniata River at Mill Creek, which has kayaking and tubing options, is about a 20min drive, and The Thousand Step Trail Section of the Standing Stone Trail is about 25mins away near Mount Union. We are also about 25mins to Juniata College, 35minutes to The Grier School, and just over an hour to State College and PSU.

Sweet Vintage 1976 Tag-A-Long
Phoenix Farm is such a great and cozy place to stay! Trellis is super friendly and knowledgeable of the land, flora, and wildlife. The trailer has just about all you would need and the outhouse/compost toilet is very well kept. It rained nearly our whole stay but it was still so relaxing and when the sun finally came out our last day- man that view! (Even during the rain the view was still so beautiful)

Amazing camper and outstanding host
I had an absolutely amazing stay. The camper was amazing and exactly the getaway I was looking for. The land was beautiful with paths cut for walking through her property. The stars at night were incredible! Trella, though, was BEYOND kind and accommodating. I asked if there was a coffee maker before I arrived- she had a French press ready and waiting with coffee in the camper fridge for me. I forgot a bath towel for the outdoor shower and she let me borrow one. Then, to top it all off, I got a bee sting while I was out hiking one day and the skin was pretty reddened and swollen- I asked if I could borrow some Benadryl and she brought me that, hydrocortisone, an ice pack, and her very own cream made from oils to help soothe my skin! I was blown away by her thoughtfulness. Truly appreciated her and her mother making me feel so very welcome. I can’t wait to book another getaway on the same spot. It was a 3 hour drive for me and will be completely worth returning to again and again. Thanks for everything, Trella! ❤️

Simply Peaceful, Comfortable, Chic
My teen son and I loved Phoenix Farm - the vintage RV camper, the social barn, and having the convenience of a campfire stone ring. For the campfire, I was surprised to discover two folding camp chairs under the bed in the RV. The RV camper included many practical things you would need to keep food cold, cook, wash, and sit down to eat meals. Cute vintage camper was comfortable!! The site host Trella is someone who you would rely on as a neighbor! Communicating with her in person, via texts, HipCamp messages made you feel as if we knew each other. Trella is a wonderful host, friendly, considerate, and thoughtful. If you like the quiet and open space, you will enjoy your stay here at Phoenix Farm and resting in the vintage camper.

Peaceful and fun stay
My son and I loved the Tag-A-Long stay at Phoenix Farm. The vintage RV was super comfortable to sleep, eat, recharge. The RV had the conveniences of preparing meals. We had access to the barn on the property for a cooler, spacious and shelter hangout at night. Be open minded about using the outhouse on the property, the host explained thoroughly to make it easy to use. Hostess Trella is friendly, helpful, responded to my text messages before arrival, during our stay on her property, and while we were out exploring the lake and parks. Definitely will return for a mom-son escape!
