River Oasis Tipi Retreat
The yurt was beautiful and clean! We left a snow owl behind as a thank you. I would love to go again and would recommend.

This was a great trip to Sisters! The yurt was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was a chilly weekend but the wood burning stove was great and the heated blanket on the bed made for such a cozy stay. I would absolutely recommend this spot to others and hope to be back again!

Super cute and really well done space, I thought. If you are up for making a fire, the stove is nice, wood is provided and warms up the yurt pretty quickly/efficiently. You can hear the stream from inside the yurt and see it from the door window. Mariana the host was easy to communicate with.
The bathroom/shower area is a short walk uphill. Minimal ammenities in the yurt, some electricity and lighting. I think they forgot to leave water for us, so would recommend providing your own and overall suggest bringing food/water as you would if you were camping. There's a hot water kettle and kurig in the space as well as a mini fridge. Cozy couch in the main area and me and my partner slept well in the bed with her small dog. Overall would recommend.

Yurts So Good
Our yurt stay was absolutely perfect. Marianna’s property is lovely. The drive up/ down was 🤩. Had all the info we needed to arrive and settle in. Yurt is a short distance from owner’s home. Bathroom/shower is located in basement/lower level of home. Very private and has everything you need. It was a cold couple of days so we took advantage of the wood burning fireplace. It was well stocked with wood with access to more nearby. If you can build a fire, you’re good to go. Heated the place up nicely. The bed was super comfy and had an electric blanket. We didn’t keep the fire up all night so it was nice to have the extra warmth while sleeping. There is a mini fridge, Keurig, electric kettle, and a few cups and utensils provided. There is no running water, but potable water was provided. I suggest bringing extra bottles of water if you want to stay hydrated. Definitely recommend this this spot!

Be prepared…
Unfortunately this site was way too rustic for our needs. It is just a tipi with some furniture in it and an extension cord so you can run one electrical item on it. Tipi is maybe 50 ft from the owners home. There is also a yurt the same distance from the tipi as well. Bed is an old double bed sized futon with dead spiders. Bathroom was a bucket with a bag to “catch” your waste. Shower was an outdoor shed with water access. Description was misleading and the host never replied to messages. If you are looking for a creek side rustic tipi then this might be a good fit for you.

Special place
I’ll start by commenting on the bathroom situation since so many others have as well. Our experience was that it was easy and no big deal to walk up a gradual hill to the house for the bathroom and shower. It’s located on the lower level of the hosts home but felt private. We took our own toiletries which was good because they were pretty sparse and we weren’t sure what was meant for guests use. The only other thing to mention is we didn’t sleep too well in the bed ourselves — too soft of a mattress for us and caves in the middle. But overall, beautiful setting and special place. Highlights were the attention to detail of small touches in the yurt, like the design choices, cozy wood burning stove, simple coffee supplies for the morning. We would recommend this spot!
