Our Lotus Belle overlooks a working family garden on 2 acres, a short hike from McDonald State Forest. Shady hammocks and chairs under towering firs, maples and oaks. Sunny days, cool nights, open skies. Guests hydrate with sweet, pure, cold well water. Cycling, kayaking, walking, and wineries nearby. Our town has a lovely downtown area with riverfront restaurants, breweries and shops. Local musicians perform most weekends, starting on Thurs. We provide a propane stove and propane, cooking equipment, and dishes. We also have a cooler at the site. Bring your own ice. Seasonal fruits and vegetables available .Short stroll on forested path to 16' Lotus Bell tent, located in lush vegetable garden and orchard. This is surrounded by big fir, oak and under-story trees with wildflowers and perennials all around. Birds, dragonflies and butterflies are plentiful as the gardens have been planned to attract them. We are 6 miles from Corvallis, home of Oregon State University; charming downtown area. There are many Breweries, Wineries and good restaurants. The Willamette River flows through Corvallis and is fun to float or Kayak on. The McDonald Forest is less than a mile walking distance, so great hiking. There is a Blueberry Farm less than a mile away as well, a nice place to spend some time in the summer.

Rita's Woodland Gardens
Rita was a very gracious host who made sure we were 100% taken care of. She waited for us in the rain out by the gate to help get us settled in. The tent is very comfortable and cozy. We had 2 couples both on queen beds. Her garden is lovely and a fun oasis for anyone passing through Corvallis!

Rita's Woodland Gardens
Amazing, deeply healing experience
This place was everything I could have asked for and more. It was so peaceful, beautiful and serene, I spent hours relaxing in the hammock and watching the birds in the garden. Rita made me feel so cared for, making sure I had everything I needed and even leaving some vitamins for me when I was feeling a bit under the weather. Resident doggie Jack is very special and gives great hugs! It was the most perfect place to stay and I didn't want to leave! I honestly teared up when I saw how beautiful it was, it was exactly what I needed to de-stress and heal in nature after a long and stressful week at work. Rita also shared some delicious produce from the garden and that was a huge blessing for me as a health conscious person. The area is secluded, surrounded by old growth forest, and abundant wildlife, but close enough to town that I had no problem getting Lyfts by scheduling them in advance. 11/10 would stay again.

Rita's Woodland Gardens
What a gem!
What a gem. Rita has hospitality dialed in: warm welcome, cozy linens, thoughtful touches like cute rugs, throw pillows and a French press and a gorgeous piece of land. The big trees made it particularly shady in the afternoon for long and breezy summer nights. It has a wilderness feel while being only 6 miles to a cool downtown area. We traveled with two kids and we all LOVED it. Thank you, thank you, Rita for sharing this special place!

Great place to stay!
We stayed twice at Rita’s going and coming on a road trip from California to Washington. Rita is a wonderful host and her tent is a lovely place to stay. Very welcoming and comfortable. The tent is huge and well ventilated— with electric fans to keep it cool even after the sun has risen! Her vegetable gardens are a lovely setting. It’s a very quiet and private space to spend time. We want to come back and spend a few days for a weekend getaway.

Felt like home away from home❣️
Rita and JC are wonderful, warm and kind humans and hosts. Rita’s garden is an oasis and such a lovely treat to wake up to. In the evening we were lucky to have. a clear sky with a bright body super moon and shooting stars. The fairy dome tent has ever to be comfortable, including a nice camp kitchen set up and a clean and tidy outhouse bathroom. There is a place to wash dishes as well as shower all outdoors in a lovely setting. When we return to Corvallis we will definitely stay at Rita’s Garden again!
