Rustic Camping 🌲4 acres of Forest
We stayed at a spot down the footpath from the orange tent that the host occasionally stays in/rents out. We set up hammocks in the trees and had a small fire to cook our dinner in a well made fire pit. Everything was great except for dogs/coyotes barking/howling in the distance off and on all night. The host’s boyfriend Mick was staying in the orange tent while we were there and was very friendly!

Redwoods, Coyotes, Neighbors!
This location is definitely rustic and beautiful. Ultimately, we had a good night but there were a couple things about it that were a little uncomfortable and I wouldn't book here again. When we first arrived, we were confused because there was already a tent set up that had equipment all around it... but no one ever showed up. That was a little strange/spooky. Secondly, be warned that there are loud neighbors all around the location. We listened to gunshots going off from about 6 pm to 10 pm and plenty of rowdy yelling that echoes through the area (though we never actually saw anyone). Finally, there's a very active pack of coyotes in the area! Didn't mind this a bit because it's part of camping — though our little dog sure had a scare. We were woken up in the night about four times by the pack yipping and yowling. In all, wouldn't book here again, and wouldn't recommend, mostly on account of the gunfire.

Staying at Molly was great. Her camp is secluded & waking up to those big trees felt pretty special. We arrived after dark & it was a bit complicated to find the exact location on the property, but Molly was very responsive and helped us out. We stayed in our tent but Molly has a great setup with a big tent that I would totally recommend using if you stay for a night & don’t want to bother setting up your tent. It was the perfect stop on our way from Ukiah CA to Crater Lake, OR.

Majestic trees, big sky Splendor
Nope, not what was expecting.
The host was great but the site itself wasn’t what I was expecting, it’s not a campsite is a lot in the woods. We stayed two nights and both of them you can hear people screaming and shooting their guns until 3-4 in the morning. There also was a lady in a red truck telling us that this is private property and people should not be camping here, even though I told her that the host allowed us to stay there.

Quick Stop on a Road Trip
Pros: Plenty of firewood, beautiful spot. Cons: Generator running in the distance until well after midnight, domestic dogs barking continuously, not very clear where to camp. It looks like this was a pretty new listing on hipcamp when we camped here, with a little more information from the host I think this could be a really great listing. Molly texted us detailed directions on how to get to the sight and told us to keep an eye out for the orange tent to know we were there. Definitely follow her directions and not Google Maps! There was a small U-Shaped spot to drive onto the property - I think this was the only way to drive onto the property, I wasn't 100% clear on whether you could drive further into the property or if you should hike to other camping camping sites. We got in a little too late to explore much, but there did appear to be a walking path to walk further in to the property (maybe there are some neater camping spots further back). We stayed in the spot that was clearly on Molly's property near the orange tent because that was easiest to unload for car camping - we were probably about 20 yards from the road, but I don't think we noticed a single other car come by the entire time. It was a very beautiful spot to camp and very easy to start a tiny fire. Unfortunately there was a generator in the near distance that was running until well after midnight as well as domestic dogs barking pretty consistantly. It did quiet down sometime after midnight though. I think what would make this spot better would be some trail markers (either a sign, or just a little stack of rocks) to show where on the property was ok to venture around or camp.
