This is a very private little slice of heaven that I've been pleased to steward for over 20 years. If you love the sound of frogs singing, and bullfrogs plucking their banjo strings, red-winged blackbirds trilling, you will love it here. The property is literally right across the road from the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park which boasts amazing trails, views and features the Niagara Escarpment. The 4-acre pond/wetland is designated 'Provincially Significant' by the Ministry of Natural Resources and is an important part of the Nottawasaga Watershed. This area is renowned for its terrain - the fields are rolling and the views are quite special. You will enjoy a private firepit and private overlook at the pond with hammock. The site isn't visible from the road. Our house is visible from the site but far enough away as to not disturb one another. We have a newly added outhouse with lighting that will make your stay comfortable.My 10-acre property is adjacent to Mono Cliffs Provincial Park and many other hiking and biking trails. 4-acre pond/marsh which is excellent for kids to find turtles and such when they are nesting, etc. Excellent birdwatching by the pond - ducks, geese, and occasionally swans. Private firepit, and private overlook at the pond with hammock. The site isn't visible from the road. Our house is visible from the site but far enough away as to not disturb one another. UPDATE: We have just added a brand new outhouse! Friendly dogs are welcome! If you are hiking the Bruce Trail which is very close by, I'm happy to be an "Uber Driver" to drop you off or pick you up for a fee. There are also horse shoe pits on the north side of the property which you are welcome to use.

2 Person Stay

A buddy and I spent 1 night at Donna’s campsite and it was amazing. Donna was very informative and quick to respond to any of my questions. She provided clear instructions on how to get there, where we would stay, etc. As for the campsite, it’s a very large and beautiful area. There’s an outhouse which was very well-kept, clean, and convenient with its own light, toilet paper holder (toilet paper included) and some hand sanitizer. There was also a bin with some camping necessities such as kindling, rope, and firewood (must purchase), along with other things. In the bin was also some recreational equipment for use. The site also has a fire pit and water-well (not for drinking). Very close by is Splitrock Narrows Nature Reserve (4 min drive) which we visited in our downtime. It was fairly quiet at night with no disturbances from other humans at all, aside from the few howls/barks from coyotes. We would definitely recommend and revisit!

Great host!!

Host Donna is very responsible and her property was clean :) Lots of space to set up my shelter and has lovely fire pit. Enjoyed brand new outhouse 😆

We had a wonderful stay for new years at donnas camp site. She was very accommodating and offered all the necessities. Mono cliffs are just a short distance away for hiking. We can’t wait to go back in the summer!

Location was a advertized. Nice spot, overlooking marsh. There is a nice water view point with two adirondack chairs, and apprentely, a hammock can be provided (however, due to weather, we did not take advantage). The outhouse facility was very clean. Nice fire pit. Great view of the Mono hills across the marsh. Within a couple of km's from great hiking in Mono Cliff Provincial Park.

Beautiful piece of land. Enough room to park our 26ft travel trailer and space to throw a baseball around. The dog loved running around the little trail cut through the grass. It was a short drive to Mono Cliffs. A really lovely Thanksgiving Weekend.

Donna had everything ready and great communication. She has a great set up. The spot is private although the house is close by. Loved the view of the pond.
