Totally off-grid, (no electricity or running water), this Bunkie is nestled deep inside a juglans forest (black walnut), within 74 acres of a certified organic fruit and nut farm located on the historic Rideau Canal. Enjoy the peace and quiet as you explore the trails found throughout the farm. Birds and wildlife abound on the property and often provide great photo opportunities. If you want tours of the farm orchards, they can be arranged with owner, Dorothy! There are beautiful views of the Brass Point Swinging Bridge on the canal and a tranquil private bay with herons, swans, ducks and geese where you can sit and rest. This site is located within a short drive to many of eastern Ontario’s tourist destinations. Hike Rock Dundar or Frontenac Provincial Park and experience their magnificent vistas. Visit the Opinicon Resort at Chaffey’s Lock for an ice cream. See the Thousand Islands on a Gananoque boat cruise, experience a sunset ceremony at Old Fort Henry, hop on the Kingston Trolley and tour the many historic sites in the Limestone City. There is so much to see and do. We invite you to enjoy nature’s beauty relaxing in a hammock, roasting marshmallows over a crackling campfire or just chilling as you escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. As mentioned already, this is an Off-grid site with no power. Potable water and basic necessities are provided. Pets are welcome but please clean up after your fur baby. Please be sure to sign the Guest book, leave a story or two and let us know a little bit about you! We love nature and the great outdoors – our farm is “tending nature’s gifts”. We hope you have a great experience and learn something too!Totally off-grid (no electricity or running water), this Bunkie is nestled deep inside a juglans forest (black walnut), within 74 acres of a certified organic fruit and nut farm located on the historic Rideau Canal. Perfect cabin getaway
It was perfect. Had everything we needed. We were arriving late and didn't want to fuss with setup and everything so this place was perfect. Well situated and perfectly equipped.

Delightful stay
We were delighted to stay off-grid in Dorothy’s bunkie on the grounds of the Brass Point Farm. The surroundings are gorgeous, the place is secluded and everything in the bunkie is new ☺️ Dorothy took us on a tour of the farm and it was very inspiring. We hope this remains a haven of wildlife, fauna and flora alike.

Brass Point Farm Bunkie
We loved staying at this site! The location was beautiful, private, and quiet. The bunkie was clean, tidy, and stocked with everything you may need, including bedding, kitchen supplies, lanterns (and extra batteries), and extras like card games.

Brass Point Farm Bunkie
Our stay was incredible!! Even with the rain, Dorothy did everything possible to make it pleasant; she installed a gazebo that just saved our trip, kept us dry from the rain and allowed us to cook under the rain and enjoy the sound of it. The bunkie is perfect to get some sleep. The property is really nice and there are a lot of things to do close by.

Brass Point Farm Bunkie

We loved Dorothy’s bunkie and the beautiful land it is on. She has it set up with all the comforts and basics for cooking on BBQ. Also clean and tidy. Nice bedding, potable water, fire pit.
