Welcome to Stergelandia-the place you want when you need it most. We take the work out of camping for you! Come experience open fields, dark skies and forest deep in Amish country. We've all had difficulties in our lives that required us to regroup and reset. With this in mind, we designed and created the glass sanctuary for our guests, an on-site store for your camping essentials, walking paths for you to immerse yourself in the woods and quiet, contemplative spaces for you to sit and reflect. Love nature but don't want to immerse yourself in the fields and woods? Enjoy stargazing and sunbathing on our elevated viewing platform and field-level cabana deck! Love wildlife? Stergelandia is teeming with life. We are home to white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, chipmunks and our beloved frogs! At night, hear the chirping of the peeper tree frogs and the howl of the coyotes. Coming with friends? From the gathering circle featuring wood benches for your group to sit and talk, to the decks and benches thoughtfully laid out throughout the property, there is plenty of space for you to enjoy the quiet serenity of an overnight in the countryside. Our meditation space, the Glass Chapel and garden, is perfect for intimate ceremonies and gatherings, and our field viewing platform and deck is an excellent place for people to gather under the sun and stars. Enjoy your complimentary weekend morning breakfast in a communal setting from the first weekend in June through the second weekend in October.. Stergelandia is perfect for stargazing! A remote setting, you’re close enough to amenities to feel at home but deep enough in the woods to get away from it all. We’ve seen deer, foxes, turkeys, hawks, chipmunks and bear on the property-a wildlife lovers paradise! We are 9 minutes from the Genesee River access point where fishing and paddling is plentiful. Want to unplug? Our guests with T-Mobile, AT&T and Cricket have had reliable cell service and we can help with tips to store your cell phone during your stay. Our guests with Verizon report they are offline, leaving you free to use your phone for photos without the interruptions or temptations of outside life. We are close by in our cottage on most weekends if any questions arise and can be reached by cell phone during the week. We offer cozy Mexican blankets, Icelandic Wool blankets, Icelandic Chocolates and other items and souvenirs for purchase on most Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. All glamping guests registered through Hipcamp are given complimentary access to scheduled activities in September-October including our amazing 4th annual women's retreat, Chicks in the Sticks, from September 14-15, 2024. Calm-fields, hills, sky!
Not just camping, but an adventure!
My stay at Stergelandia was fantastic. Jennifer made my stay so comfortable. I was greeted with snacks by the campfire. She gave a tour of the campsite and land. The views of the land are simply breathtaking, wether you want to take in a sunset, or a sunrise, you won't be disappointed. There is a double deck, where you can capture beautiful photos on the top deck, or relax, read, catch a nap, or soak in the silence of nature on the lower deck. Jennifer hosts farm to table dinner and breakfast using local ingredients and herbs from her beautiful herb garden. The campsite is very eco friendly, pet friendly, and couples can even have their wedding here. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Camping near Letchworth State Park
I loved the location and hospitality of the host Jennifer. She had an evening planned and had made a locally sourced breakfast for all the renters. she was also accommodating and moved us to a bigger A structure the second day.

The great outdoors!
I loved the land, the frog ponds, the herbs to pick, the tent options. Most of all the time the hostess spent to make sure our trip was phenomenal; and it was amazing. I would highly recommend the trip, the land and the amenities and of course, the hostess!

Sacred Space
I’ve been a short term rental host for a decade and am well travelled. I have to say, Jennifer- hands down - is the best host I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. She has done a superior job of creating a truly sacred space for her guests. We felt honored to be able to experience her well thought out A-frame, star gazing deck, wooded paths, frog pond, locally sourced and freshly prepared breakfast at her cafe. She has poured so much intention and Love into her guests’ experience. I was literally brought to tears by her exceeding kindness. My partner and I have fallen in love with Jennifer’s Land and will absolutely return when able. You’ve got to stay here. It’s also only 20 or so minutes from Letchworth State Park- an absolute treasure… if you’re into waterfalls and breathtaking views. Stay with Jennifer. It’s a whole vibe.

Calm-fields, hills, sky!
First Time Camping with Kids/Dog
As a female traveling with kids, I don't have to worry about my safety camping at Stergelandia. This place makes me feel like stepping into a magical fairy land, especially at night time surrounded by fireflies. The kids and I stayed in the Calm fields, hills sky tent which is tucked further away toward the wood area, but still a short walk from the main entrance. There were plenty of places to look around and relax on the hammocks or benches. The frogs pond was awesome with lots of frogs and the little vegetables/herbs garden add a nice touch to the place. Also, there's a meditation place, which I did not have a chance to use. Overall, I think this is a great getaway from the craziness and exactly what I need, restorative. I can't thank you enough to the wonderful host, Jennifer. She was very accommodating and the most understanding host more than anyone could ever ask for. She provided everything that we need plus lots of extras. She even suggested a swim area and took us to the river for some swimming as well. The kids and hava great time, and one of them didn't want to leave (lol). Thank you, Jennifer!
