Situated in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, you can expect to have spectacular views, and quiet surroundings. There are a few different nature preserves around that one can walk and hike. There are waterfalls and swim holes that can be driven to, a dam for kayaking or canoeing (with recreation license from the DEP), and lots of cows and cute animals to look at. There is an amazing organic farm just around the corner from my house (5 miles away) that has a cafe and farm store open on the weekends. Lots to do, or do nothing and relax!
