We have a unique 'BYO Hot water' shower for those looking to freshen up at the end of the day. Site 7- One caravan, camper trailer or tent + car. Only use allocated area as indicated by campsite site colour on site map. The logs at each site define site area, please do not drive through the grass clearing. Site numbers are on trees. Unless previously discussed, you are required to camp on the site you book and will be asked to move if you set up on another site. All traffic is to drive clockwise around ring road. The site numbers correspond with this direction of travel. The campground is tranquil and has a large open, flat grassy clearing in the middle for family games. The secluded clearing is boarded by a Woodland forest with stunning flora like Waratahs, Xanthorrhoea's, Orchids and Banksias. The property is home to many beautiful species of fauna like Gang-gang Cockatoo's, Eastern Rosella's and the cheeky iconic Magpie which will warble a warm welcome. The grassy clearing is occasionally frequented by large Kangaroos at dawn and dusk. Just a stones throw from the property you have easy access to world class lookouts and bush walks. If you are into climbing, canyoning, trekking, trail running, cafes, restaurants or walking along breath taking National Park trails, then you will love visiting our area. If you are unfamiliar with the area, we recommend visiting the Information Centre at Echo Point to get all the information you need for your intended activities. This camp is perfect for groups/families wanting to have a campfire, a bit of space from other campers and to have room for the kids to run around and kick a ball. Fires are restricted to existing fire pits to minimize scars on the ground. If you prefer to bring your own fire pit we ask that you leave no trace. Fires are only permitted when there are no RFS bans in place. Please be extra vigilant around this as our community is only just recovering after the devastating recent fires. Fires are to be modest and discrete. Out of respect for our neighbors and other campers, please do not use a chainsaw at the campground. Please do not leave rubbish in your fire pit. Things like cigarette butts, cans, beer caps and food scraps need to be taken with you. We pride ourselves with keeping the sites as pristine as possible and ask that you follow our 'leave no trace' policy. Note: there is no water on the property so you will need to allow enough to ensure you have completely extinguished your fire before you depart. Please bring your own firewood, or you can purchase firewood from most service stations in the Blue Mountains. Please do not collect from the campground, if campers did this, the surrounding bushland would quickly be depleted and loose its natural feel. However, it is ok to collect small kindling to start your fire. There is a composting toilet on-site with toilet paper and Hand Sanitizer supplied. Well behaved pets are welcome and we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead if they are likely to adventure too far from your site and disturb the local wildlife or other campers. If you are interested in a longer free stay and are open to a trade for a small amount of labor each day, please reach out. There is always lots of things we need to get done, but don't always have the time. Acknowledgement of Country: Our property is located within the Country of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. My family recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra (Country) takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape - landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future. My family and I pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region. Our hope is that by being custodians of this beautiful property, we will help preserve it for future generations as a place to connect with nature and each other. We hope you love and respect this property as much as our family does. It is a privilege to share it with like minded people who enjoy stepping out of our busy lives to connect with nature, family and friends.

Camp Medlow

1 site · Tent3 acres · Medlow Bath, NSW
Camp Medlow is located in Medlow Bath in the upper Blue Mountains, and is just 800m from Medlow Bath railway station, and only 8 minutes drive to Katoomba or 5 minutes drive to Blackheath - so is conveniently located close to all the key attractions, like Scenic World, the Grand Canyon, the Three Sisters, plus all the amazing tracks, trails, bushwalks, and abseiling and climbing locations that the upper Mountains is famous for. You can pitch up to two tents on the level and very secluded campsite where you'll have complete privacy in a fantastic bushland setting, which backs directly onto Blue Mountains National Park. The campsite is directly in the centre of 3 acres of natural open forest comprising many old and tall Blue Mountains Ash eucalyptus trees (Eucalyptus oreades), Banksias, Waratahs, and Wattle. The property is also home to Gang-gang and black Cockatoos, parrots, owls, magpies, spotted-tailed Quolls, possums, Eastern bent-wing bats, and wallabies. Camp Medlow is for TENTS ONLY. Camper vans, caravans, and car rooftop tents are NOT permitted. This is because you can't get your car/van to the actual campsite where you pitch your tents. It's just a 50m flat walk along the rustic trail to the campsite from the car park - so you'll need to carry your gear to where you'll set up your tents. There is designated parking for two cars (not camper vans, caravans, or rooftop tents) on the Beaufort Street (dirt road) side of the property. The level campsite is placed next to a rocky outcrop that features a traditional camp fire circle and is shaded by a big old Ash tree. We ask that if you choose to have a campfire, then please only use the existing camp fire circle so as to protect the property, the flora, fauna, and minimise the impact to the environment in general. Important fire safety - Remember, fires are not permitted during total fire bans days, so check the current restrictions before you light up. We also would request that you bring your own firewood, and do not use firewood from the property, as fallen branches and logs can be homes for native animals and critters - and we don't want to impact them. We also ask that before you go to sleep at night, and when you leave the property, that you have fully extinguished the fire with water - do not leave the fire smouldering. Our community in the upper Blue Mountains is regularly impacted by bushfire, and our neighbours and friends have lost their homes - and everything - during these fires, so please be vigilant and responsible with any open fire. There is no water available at the property, so please bring your own - both for drinking, cooking, and to extinguish the campfire. There are no toilets on the property so you must bring your own camp toilet that you take with you when you leave. Do not dispose your human waste on the property. The Grand Canyon Walking Track, which is in Blackheath, is 10 mins up the road from the campsite and Blue Mountains National Park is right at your tent's doorstep. No pets please.

Wildwoods

2 sites · RVs, Tents330 acres · Megalong, NSW
At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike. I have only owned this property for a couple of years so there is not much here, the road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of leveled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife.

'The Refinery' at Hartley Vale

4 sites · RVs, Tents7 acres · Hartley Vale, NSW
Built on the site of the old Hartley Vale oil shale works that closed in 1916, 'The Refinery" was re-established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.
