A 200 acre horse breeding property on the outskirts of Tamworth. 6 minutes to the Country Music Capital CBD. Lots of shady trees to camp or park your van/RV. Hills that you can see forever from the top of.... Some outdoor seating. There's two flush toilets, two hot showers. Dogs are welcome but must be strictly on a lead at all times. There is a dog run available if you want to leave your dog and go to town or the Country Music Festival. Generally most people stay and camp near the horse barn. Indoor shower and toilet available and there is a outdoor hot shower and a sink and a tub to rub a dub dub. Laundry is available. Ask for the key ($5) The outdoor shower is private but has no roof so you can shower under the stars. Picnic table provided and a fire pit to barbecue in winter (fire bans in summer) Transported horses are also welcome...yards available. Price is per person. Lots of great reviews about Dawn... but the camping area itself was just OK. Dawn was away when we stayed, but we were greeted by her husband and showed where the facilities were. 2 showers and toilets, which are basic, but totally fine for camping. No problems there! The camping area itself is quite slopey, so it was difficult to position our trailer on a flat spot, with not a lot of options for shade either. We were lucky enough to get a spot under the trees, but if there were more people there, it may have become a bit crowded. One other disappointing thing was the road traffic. The camp area is quite close to the road, so the constant hum of traffic really detracted from the serenity we were hoping to find. For an overnight stay, it's quite nice and is convenient to Tamworth, but it is being sold as a spot to set up, enjoy the peace and quiet and the vistas ( the views are great - once you've walked up to the top of the hill). Wouldn't stay again, sorry.

My boyfriend and I had the best stay and were really happy with everything. There is plenty of room and the views are beautiful. Having 2 proper toilets was great, and having a shower under the stars was a highlight. We got to have a great chat to Steve, the owner, who was so friendly. We are sad we only stayed one night but will definitely be back. Thank you Dawn and Steve for sharing your beautiful property

Great value for money
Dawn is a great host. This is the 2nd time I’ve been to her quiet country property. It’s well worth a visit. Outdoor (and indoor) shower and a flushing toilet too. It’s fun to watch her beautiful horses in the paddock next door.

Dawn's farmstay was great. We were given a tour of her property on her ute with an amazing view up on the hillside and got to pat the beautiful horses. Awesome
