We're located in a little picture-perfect paradise nook on the backside of the Wollemi National Park 14 kilometres North East of Bilpin in a little hollow called Mountain Lagoon. We have 5 acres of gentle flowing grassy open areas surrounded by towering trees brimming with birdlife. We also have native animals (Koalas) (Goannas) (Wombats) which all reside within an ear's reach of this property. There are trees that are over 200 years old and 40 metres high with real birds and nests that don't run on batteries or solar. Plenty of area for the kids to wear themselves out. Some of the most scenic bushwalks in the country are at our doorstep,  The wildlife, flora, and fauna are truly spectacular and extremely untamed.  Close to the Colo river (20 mins) where the cliffs of the mountain are at your backdrop, There is also the Wheeny Creek swimming hole, Or just chill out with an ice-cold one in front of the dedicated firepit as you gaze up at the night sky. There is access to bore water for cleaning but you should bring your own drinking water supply. You will need to be a fully self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower amenities.   There are 2 dedicated powered sites are available at an extra cost of $12 per night, Add an additional $8.00 for 2nd vehicle on the campsite, plenty of room to spread out and truly let nature be your guide as you totally unwind and reintegrate with yourself and nature on this stunning breathtaking property hidden away from the world. A truly invigorating relaxing experience you will never want to forget.  Spoil yourself today.

Mountain Lagoon Wildlife Retreat
We were disappointed
Greg is a nice guy. He has a nice property and we saw koala’s which was great for the kids and us!! But… We went there with the idea that we would be going to a complete nature experience in a 5 acre space to explore… the reality is we camped in his back garden with full view of his house 20 meters away. We were given 20mt x 30 mt space to set up our tents and not much besides that to let the kids wonder. Sorry, but we do not recommend this place unless what you want is to feel safe as there is a house next door and all you need is to have the experience of putting up a tent in a grassy area.

Mountain Lagoon Wildlife Retreat
Great stay, pretty spot.
My husband and I stayed three nights, Greg was a welcoming host that let us know what to do around the area. A few bikes go past during the day but on the whole it was a lovely quiet spot teaming with bird life that are well fed by the host. We didn’t get to meet the local koalas but did hear them at one point. Highly recommend as a relaxing stay and would go back.
