Check in: MUST BE BEFORE 5.30PM. YOU MUST ARRIVE ON SITE BEFORE 5.30PM. No check in available after sunset. Text us at least 2 hours before if you are going to be late. Please make your booking prior to 1pm for same day arrival. The property is 40 acres of beautiful bushland, backing on to the Olney State Forest. Camp on a grassy site overlooking the dam or nestled in amongst the trees. Pets allowed. Keep your dog on leash at your campsite and under supervision at all times. Clean up after your dog. Fire pits provided on each campsite. Do not dismantle fire pits. Campsites have no toilet or shower facilities, and no electrical connection. Please bring your own water. Dry organic firewood for sale $20 for 30kgs on request. Fresh free-range eggs for sale when available. Please respect our home and property and leave the campsite in the good condition you found it. The property is just 7kms from the M1 motorway (take the Morisset exit off the M1) and Morisset just 10kms away with shops and fuel. There is plenty to do in the Morisset area including visiting the pretty Gap Creek Falls in the Watagans National Park or kayaking around beautiful Lake Macquarie, Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake. There are some great areas for hiking, bike riding, bird watching and more. Set on the western foreshore of Lake Macquarie, which has the bush in its backyard. Find a patch of shade for a picnic in Lake Macquarie State Conservation Area where you can spot kangaroos and other wildlife. The saltwater lake is a haven for sea turtles and dolphins and you might see sea eagles and kookaburras, too. Fern Gully is just 1.5 hours drive from Sydney! We look forward to meeting you.

Really lovely place. Ample of space between campsites to enjoy your privacy. The owners made sure we are comfortable and safe. It’s also a good base camp to explore the Olney SF. Would love to come back again.

Site 05 - In The Trees
We had high expectations for this camp with the many great reviews. When we arrived the host showed us a few different sites that we could choose from. Unfortunately they were all just patches of uneven dirt where the tents were to be pitched. Even with mats down we could see that it just wasn't going to be enjoyable dealing with the dirt. We made the decision and forfeiting our 3 night stay.

Site 09 - The Woodland
Great extended weekend at Fern Gully. Lovely spot and Les is a wonderful host. Thanks for the extra wood at short notice Les 👍 Woodlands is a large site with lots of room for our camper, tents and dining gazebo.

Site 04 - The Hives
The Hives
The Hives is a Good camp-site if you don't mind camping close to others. Very close to mandalong road so at night traffic can be annoying. Old Boris wonders around he is a big dog but friendly enough. We felt there wasn't enough privacy for us personally to set up a Toilet tent so when we needed we took a short run into Morriset which takes about 8 mins. We did take some of our own wood in but Les let us use a big pile that was just on the edge of camp. From here we explored the watagans and made the 45 to an hour long trip to the gan gan entry to Stockton as we had a dog. I recommend tying them up at night as there is lots of wildlife roaming through the bush at night.
