This is our listing for guests that prefer a roof over your their head! If you want to camp view our Bindara Camping listing. Bindara Station is an operational farm with beef cattle and irrigated lucerne hay. With emphasis on eco technology the property is powered with combination of solar, wind, gas and bio diesel. An important part of the station experience is to observe the day to day running of the property. Guests are encouraged to share our lifestyle and gain a taste of the real outback. Google maps is known to be wrong. We are on the Old Pooncarie Road south of Kinchega National Park and east of Tandou Lake and on the Darling River. Directions will be emailed when your booking is confirmed or call ahead for clarification.

Site 1 - Riverside site and private bathroom
As a family with 2 kids we spent 4 nights at Bindara and it was perfect. We camped at pelican spot and had a bathroom with no roof which was so special and gorgeous. Barb and John were incredible, with John delivering freshly squeezed orange juice each morning! So much history in the property it was lovely to hear old stories. Lots of yabbies and good fishing. We can't wait to go back!

Remote. Beautiful. Comfortable.
From the minute we drove up to Bindara’s homestead we were warmly welcomed by station owner Barb, and friendly sheep dog Lacie. . Armed with freshly-picked mandarins and grapefruits from Barb’s orchard, we were escorted to the fabulous campsite high on the banks of the Darling River. Below us, pelicans, cormorants, herons and egrets sunned themselves on the sandy banks. Our site came with our own private ‘ensuite’, constructed from an old water tank, with full flush toilet, hot water showers, sinks and soap/toilet paper. We spent two magical nights at Bindara and will definitely return. On our second night, we were invited to join guests staying at Bindara’s jillaroo quarters for a genuine country meal of campfire roasted lamb shanks, roast veggies and quondong crumble & ice cream. We were happy to pay the $45 dinner fee for such a warm and enjoyable evening, an optional offering if and when other guests are staying at Bindara. As city-bred campers, this was such a wonderful opportunity to understand better the ways of station life, its challenges and beauty. Barb is a formidable and admirable woman who made us feel like family and on leaving, like old friends. We’ll be back!

Site 2 - Riverside site and private bathroom
Site 2 is nicely positioned with your own private ensuite. The area is shaded by huge red gums so you are largely on dirt and no grass. Barb is a wonderful host and we definitely loved the freshly picked citrus.
