Big rig-friendly

Spacious, level camping well-suited for travel trailers over 40 ft long.

The junkyard is a nice pet friendly spot about 6 miles from downtown Helena. Right near a creek, hikes, and the lake. It is a commercial area, as I run a towing company, but pretty quiet, you might even find some camper parts! I have water and power on site as well. I really enjoy the van life and nomad community and love to help out.

Site 1 - The Junkyard

We had an overnight stay on our way south. Easy access with our Big Rig was great to have the dogs off leash to run around, very quiet for the most part nice view for the sunset, in the early morning hours we heard the coyotes in the distance. Location is fairly close to I15 so it was easy to get on our way south in the morning.

Great Overnight Spot

This place was a great stop for overnight. Water spigot and electric aren’t close enough to be able to stay hooked up to both so we filled our fresh water tank then moved over to hook up to the electric in the lower field. Easy to navigate as it is just a loop. Super quiet area in the evening and night. Electric is only 30 AMP so be sure to have a 50 AMP to 30 AMP conversion cord if you need it. Thankfully D & D RV Center was really close and we were able to pick one up! Thanks so much for allowing us to spend a night on your land, Derick!
