Thank you so much to the hipcampers who came to view the eclipse at lazy Acres. THANKS FOR GETTING MOONED WITH US ! Experience the tranquility of a quiet country setting just minutes away from shopping, dining, and Summit Lake State Park, and less than a half-hour from an array of entertainment options. Nestled on 12 acres of family-owned, serene countryside, our homestead offers a private getaway for individuals or the whole family. Whether you prefer a secluded retreat or a communal gathering, rent a single spot or the entire 12 acres for your outing. We strive to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Throughout the year, our property is home to chickens, a cow or two, usually 3 or 4 pigs, and a couple of dogs, offering a glimpse into rural life. Join us this weekend and gather around the fire pit for warmth and camaraderie. We provide 10-20 primitive sites tailored to your needs, from secluded spots to a communal area where multiple families can camp together and share stories around the fire. Each site includes picnic tables, fire pits, and free trash pickup. We also offer free firewood, but kindly request that you refrain from bringing wood from elsewhere to preserve the health of our woods for future visitors. For your convenience, we have a small camp store stocked with essential items often forgotten at home. Additionally, children can enjoy our small playground while adults relax in nature. Whether you pitch a tent or hang your hammock from a tree, we welcome you with open arms. Don't have camping gear? Give us a call, as we offer tent and hammock rentals, along with various other amenities. If you prefer indoor accommodations, we have a camper ready for your stay. Generators are available for rent; please inquire with the host for details. We look forward to hosting you on our picturesque countryside retreat.

Lazy acres was a busy place for the 2024 solar eclipse but the host was super quick to respond to all of our needs. Firewood and items requested from the camp store were delivered directly to the campsite. The primitive sites offered the most privacy but our group preferred the sites with the option to drive up. For us the convenience was worth having some neighbors (who were also cool). The fire pits were a little challenging for cooking when compared to “traditional”campgrounds, but the host literally cut a barrel, ground the edges and arranged for a grate and all within a matter of minutes. I was impressed. We were treated like family and we all had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed tent camping at Lazy Acre. It felt like a nice state park. We were there for solar eclipse so all the sites were occupied but there were still plenty of privacy. The owners are really friendly and very helpful. The drive from highway to their property is really enjoyable. Recommend to anyone!

Beautiful wooded campsites! The host was great and helpful whenever I reached out. The host's camp supply store was very cheap and convenient too.

A great place to get away
Couldn’t imagine a better setting or people with which to experience the 2024 eclipse. The camp is a great place for adults wanting a more secluded site and kids looking to make friends as well. The owners have a camp store they run and offer lots of amenities and necessities that may have been forgotten when packing. Very friendly group of people, they built the camp originally for family members and they treat you like extended family when you stay here! They checked in on us frequently even with how many people were there for the event, and in the morning they put out hot coffee and donuts.

This was a great place to stay. The hosts were very nice and helpful. They provided firewood and had plenty of food and gear to offer at a very reasonable price. They also helped us out when our sleeping pad sprung a leak. We'd definitely stay here again if we pass through the area in the future.
