Centrally located in MidCoast (just 20 minutes from Route 1), out in the country you'll find a "Country Getaway" situated on over 16 acres. A large field borders mostly wooded land with an old farmhouse that dates back to the late 1700's. Rumored to have been a place for travelers to stop for a hot meal and/or some shut eye before heading back out on their journey. There was an orchard here, along with a cider press and the first town meeting was also held in the main house. Come enjoy the calm, quiet air, filled with natures soothing sounds as you're enchanted by the blinking fireflies of the night.Depending on the amount of rain we get, campers may need to set up camp in front of the trees on harder ground. *Site is large enough for a few tents / RV's to be spread out for privacy *Please be advised. At times nearby neighbors could potentially shoot guns/set off fireworks (holidays/hunting), you and/or your pet could be uncomfortable with this noise. This isn't an everyday occurrence; however, it does happen out here in the country.   The hustle and bustle of exploring "Vacationland" can be quite overwhelming at times for many reasons. Balance your trip by spending some time in nature, with a soulful stay in the country.  After passing by the old farmhouse, head straight up the wildflower field to your private, peaceful campsite. Bright south facing with trees for shade, a picnic table and firepit are provided for a true camping experience. Potable water station for drinking/food preparation and dishwashing. Relax out in nature or go explore the woods. Tie your hammock between the trees. Enjoy dinner around the fire, with a glass of vino as the sun sets over the pines. Settle in for the night by toasting some gooey smores and watch as the fireflies start to put on their show (typically starting late May lasting into July). The stargazing is unreal! The terrain up to the site is easy (mowed path to follow). Some ground can become soft if we get rain (host available should you have any issues). Just 20 mins to Wiscasset (Route 1) to explore the MidCoast sights, history and taste the freshest of seafood. Right here in town Sheepscot General Store, roadside Amish stands, and Sheepscot Links Golf Course. 13 minutes to Jefferson Village, with Damariscotta Lake State Park just shortly beyond. Go for a swim, then grab a cold treat at Jefferson Scoop before heading back. Centrally located to the BEST of Maine's MidCoast regional favorites!

Field of Dreams
Perfect, Private, and Peaceful!
I stayed at Hannah’s Field of Dreams for almost two weeks, and it was exactly what I needed! I was moving from Florida to Maine and didn’t want to be held down by time constraints, so I decided to look for a place to live once I arrived. I towed a little camper trailer up from Florida and I booked a two week stay at Field of Dreams while I looked for a place to live. Hannah greeted me when I was pulling into the driveway, showed me where to go, and told me to let her know if I needed anything. She had stocked the water jugs, had a small trash can at the site, and even had some firewood ready to go next to her fire pit. The site itself it set back a long distance from Hannah’s house and is quite picturesque. It’s easily accessible, and I was able to tow my little teardrop back there no problem. There is a large field (of dreams) that was great for my dog to run through and play some fetch, and there is a a large wooded area behind the tent sites that provides ample firewood opportunities and some good hiking. Unfortunately I wasn’t able explore the woods as much as I’d have liked to because I was busy house hunting and seeing friends, but I really wanted to get back there and go for a hike. There’s a little picnic table near the fire pit that’s perfect for cooking hanging out. I was able to find a place to live In Maine while staying there, too, so I guess you could say my dreams really did come true at the Field of Dreams.

Field of Dreams
It was so beautiful and nice and private, one of the best parts was her cute chickens that ran to greet every time you arrived.

Field of Dreams
Hannah was a wonderful host, and I had a great stay on her property. She quickly responded to every message and ensured I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The land provided privacy, a nice view of the open sky, and good shade coverage. The proximity to August, Damariscotta, Gardiner, and Hallowell meant there were plenty of great places to explore nearby.

Field of Dreams
It was a nice secluded spot great for recreational camping, although I was mostly unable to enjoy it due to my busy work schedule I think it would be amazing to go back to for vacation sometime in the future.

Field of Dreams
Dreamlike Hipcamp Experience
This is a truly beautiful, private and highly functional site. Hannah told me that she wanted to summarize all of her years of travel and camping experiences into an ideal site she had always wished she found. She absolutely accomplished that and I will certainly be returning. Interesting and 100% true side note: on the second night of my stay, I woke up in the morning with memories of the most vivid, surreal, pleasant dreams. I found myself contemplating what might have caused them. Was it the smell of the freshly mown field? Was it the cool breeze through the surrounding woods? Then I suddenly remembered her site is named the "Field of Dreams". Indeed it is! Will the same phenomenon happen to you? Book your stay and find out... : )
