Learn more about this land: Come stay at Middle Fork Camp: two acres of grass and eleven acres of wooded hillside overlooking a valley meadow in the Daniel Boone National Forest region. Just forty minutes from the Red River Gorge and past homesite of pioneer settlers, the property features an outdoor kitchen, potable spring water, an outdoor shower, WiFi, and 110V and RV-type electric outlets. There is a yoga deck, picnic table, and wood benches with stone ring fireplaces for your use. Help yourself to vegetables from the veggie patch in season! There are ample hiking and trail running opportunities from the site, starting right behind the (private) A-frame cabin, up and over the limestone cliffs or out the gravel road. I have established hiking/running trail loops to scenic points ranging from 1 - 15 miles in length and will be happy to provide detailed information, including GPS tracks upon request. Enjoy! Note: Camp Middle Fork is a true nature area: in season there are ticks, you may see a snake, and common to this region, there is poison ivy in the woods. Idyllic grass and wooded campsite.
Bart is a great host with a truly unique piece of property. Hundreds of acres to explore with a moderate/difficult (steep) climb from the campsite up to the top of the ridge, and a great 2.0 mile loop around the rim. Outdoor kitchen, A frame, fire pits, latrine, etc are all beautifully kept. Will be returning here next time with the family for some more exploration. Can’t recommend this peaceful getaway enough.

Idyllic grass and wooded campsite.
Secluded mountain experience!
Loved it! This spot gets too deep in the base of the mountains which is gorgeous. Bart came out to greet us and help us get settled late at night. The spot is pretty and private with tall mature trees. It was quiet and you can see so many stars. We didn't have time to use the fire pit but it would have been perfect.

Absolutely wonderful!!
Bart is an amazing host, his place is clean, quiet, and he goes above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. The outdoor kitchen was very helpful, fire ring, views, the outhouse, peace and happiness!! This is our go-to spot now!! Thank you to Bart and his family for creating this wonderful place!!

Great experience
Love love love this, first time booking on hipcamp! Our camp spot had the absolutely best views and everything you could want and need, Bart came in clutch we forgot a wine opener he gladly helped us. Got lost finding the outhouse in middle of night and he helped guide me right to it. 100% satisfactory I don’t usually leave reviews but Bart absolutely deserves it! Most of the big hikes are less than an hour away from site, camp kitchen was stocked up! Perfect cozy fall vibes ⛺️🤪
