Our farm is located just outside Bloomington Normal Illinois on 5 acres of farm land. We raise alpaces, goats chickens, ducks and geese. We’re also close to a nature preserve with trails and a pond. Please be advised this is a working farm. It is 100 + years old and we cannot promise you may not see a bug or two. We have a few farm animals that need daily attention so you may see someone wondering around at some point. Just wave if you need anything, we’re happy to help out. “PETs ALLOWED on Leash”.Step back in time and enjoy our rustic cabin couples retreat. No insulation or drywall, restored just as it was in 1865. The setting is rural and tranquil with lots of nature and farm animals, a beautiful place to relax and unplug. Conveniently located close to the Intersection of I-74 and I-55. Our cabin is sanitized thoroughly prior to our guests arrival! As our guest you will have access to our farm surroundings. The bedroom loft provides a beautiful country view of the eastern pasture. Our cabin includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The cabin is stocked with plates, glasses, coffee cups and silverware. Need some fresh air? The front porch is a wonderful place to sit and read a book, play a guitar or just listen to the sounds of nearby nature. Their is a small fire pit as well as a park like charcoal grill just outside the loft entrance. Just a few steps away you will have access to the bathhouse with private entrance. A Farm Tour is included during your stay. Farm Classes and Workshops are available, signup on our website. Please be advised this is a working farm. It is 100 + years old and we cannot promise you may not see a bug or two. We have a few farm animals that need daily attention so you may see someone wondering around at some point. Cozy 🍁

Comfy comfy bed. Blissful surroundings and an authentic cabin. Big windows that face east. Hosts are welcoming and inspiring. Expect some moths and maybe a stink bug or two. It’s a farm! Otherwise totally clean and free of any nefarious critters.

Another perfect stay at Honeydew…

Another fantastic stay. It is so peaceful here. We sat by the fire for 4 hours on Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning and sat by it again for another 4 hours! The property is so laid back. This time our 17 year old daughter came and actually wants to come back!! The cabin we stayed in was quaint, homey and enough room for the 3 of us. Close to the city but far enough away to feel like you are in the country!! We will be back.

Dottie, the Cozy Vintage Camper

This stay was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and peaceful. Dottie, the Cozy Vintage camper was exactly that - cozy and vintage! We loved it. David and Ellie are gracious hosts. They took us around their property showing us all of their animals. They even let my wife hold a baby lamb. We have already looked at dates to book again this summer.
