Learn more about this land: This 10 acre parcel is on a south facing slope with a forest of growing trees that are all 12 feet apart. Wildlife like deer, turkeys, and an occasional moose are common. One can walk through the woods or just sit and listen to nature all around. It's a great place for hammock camping! Two miles to the East is Lake Coeur d'Alene with great boating, kayaking, and fishing. Loffs Bay has a public boat ramp and lake access. This is not a good site for RV's! It is great for a jeep/subaru/small SUV. The trees are 12 feet apart and turning around would be difficult with an RV or trailer! Sam has a beautiful tree farm that is private and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay greatly. Sam was helpful and welcoming.

Peaceful, but not for tent camping
I was a little confused when I arrived, the sign and road leading to this place was not very well marked and was quite overgrown with tall grass. I drove up and down the gravel road looking for the turnoff and didn’t find it until I got out and walked around. The host indicated that I should park by the “green shed” and then pitch my tent wherever I wanted on the 10 acres of land. Unfortunately it was so overgrown I could barely get my Subaru up the hill, and I couldn’t find any flat spots to lay out my tent. The bathroom was probably a quarter mile from the road up a steep hill, heavily wooded and with tall grass everywhere. I slept on that hill, after mowing down some of the grass myself. And I had to carry all my stuff from my car up the hill as well—not an easy feat! I was a little frustrated with the lack of description to this place, and the lack of signs. Would have been nice if someone had mowed a trail to the bathroom for me before I got there at least! Overall, I probably wouldn’t tent camp here again unless there were some sort of path or trail leading to the camp spots that I never found. Would have really loved to find a flat spot to lay my tent out! It was mostly quiet at least, and very peaceful so I’m grateful for the safety this place provided. It just doesn’t seem like this is a suitable space for camping.

It was a beautiful little spot tuck back from the road. Quiet and peaceful. Even saw a deer and an owl! The family’s story is also cool if you peek in the shed to read it!

Cute lil spot in the trees, plus it’s in a quiet area. My friend and I needed a quick and easy spot to sleep, definitely met our needs :)

Very peaceful, quiet location. Once I followed the directions it was easy to find. Very cool being in a tree farm.
