Learn more about this land: Hi! I’m Heather I can’t wait to be your hostess. Here at my camp, to the east you’re a two mile walk from the Bear River which is great for paddle boarding, floating or kayaking, fishing, and viewing nature. To the west, less than about ten miles is Skinner Canyon known for Sherman’s Peak(on a clear day you can view the Rockies from the top)! It’s a beautiful, but tough hike! It’s also great for atv’s, dirt bikes, mountain biking, nature, and finding Idaho’s best huckleberries! Also from this location you’re only a twenty five minute drive away from the Caribbean of the Rockies us locals call Bear Lake. Bear Lake is home to the Bear Lake Monster, Famous Raspberry Shakes, and the one and only Burger Boat. Montpelier is kind of a cool little historic town. Montpelier is home to the famous Butch Cassidy’s bank robbery (rumor has it that his fortunes are still hidden up in our mountains) , The Oregon/California Trail Center, antique shops, ice cream and candy shops, and lots of fun little dive bars!Hi! Heather’s Hideaway
We didn't have any trouble finding the place, GPS worked fine as long as you download the map. Little signal once you make the turn on the last road. Plenty of space and beautiful views all around. Recommend staying further back if you don't want the road noise, it wasn't constant but it was there.

Heather’s Hideaway
NOT RECOMMEND FOR CAMPING AT ALL
The listing is a complete misrepresentation of the property. The “spot” is the owners driveway with 3 bricks nestled together as a fire pit. The owners 2 vehicles are less than 100 feet from the “driveway”. If you go another 40 feet you run in to the wonderful noise of 3 dogs housed in an outside kennel barking. The rest of the property has not been mowed down at all and the weeds are 18+inches tall. I messaged the owner prior to ensure the space could indeed accommodate my 5th wheel toy hauler. The owner did promptly respond stating it would however she neglect to mention her driveway could accommodate the size. I seen no body of water on the ride in nor the immediate ride out upon arrival. The description needs a rewrite to accurately match the condition of this property. This property is not suited for camping by any means is anything perhaps an animal rescue can retrieve those poor dogs suffering in the 100+ degree weather. For $30 per night, a neglected driveway is not what I would recommend for a camping trip.

Heather’s Hideaway
Quiet, Beautiful, Easy to Access
Heather's property is gorgeous and she is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The view of the sunset is hard to beat and the area is quiet and bucolic. Because the campsite is so close to the country road it is an ideal location for a late arrival/car camping. I even had a little bit of cell service despite how far-removed the area is from the main road. 10/10 would camp there again!
