Endless lakes, falls, and lava flows await campers near Hazelton.
The midway point between Twin Falls and Burley, Hazelton is a small city with a big heart and a lot of camping. Just north is Wilson Lake Reservoir, with 600 acres for fishing, boating, and relaxation. Stay at a campsite nearby with bathroom facilities, barbecue grills, and a dump station. If a beachside cabin is in the cards, there are a few near the reservoir that offer cooking utensils and comfy furnishings. Head west for waterfalls at Shoshone Falls Park, known as “The Niagara of the West.” Here, campers can stay in an RV, trailer, or tent site featuring hot showers, potable water, and firepits. Glamping sites make the falls even more memorable—they provide easy check-in, free wifi, and heating and air conditioning. To see lava flows, drive to Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve, a geologic wonder. Camp in a nearby tent or RV site with flush toilets, trash collection, and food storage lockers. Or set up at a private cabin rental with a hot tub.
