We are a 65 acre River Retreat on the banks of the Ocmulgee River in Juliette, GA. Our cabins are cozy and can comfortably accommodate 2 guests with either a single queen or two twin bed accommodations. Our riverside glamping cabin experience offers a more casual and rustic stay and each cabin is equipped with a firepit, charcoal grill, picnic table, and cozy porch furniture. Our tent campsites offer a "pick your own adventure"--our property is open and available for you to find your perfect spot and set up your tent! We welcome tent campers with our primitive access and on-site accommodations. The RV and camper sites are a perfect option for when you have your own lodging but still want to experience the great outdoors! With water and electrical, our hookups offer the basics with some of the best access to the Ocmulgee River. We have immediate and private access to the Ocmulgee River, perfect for paddling and fishing. Our "Beaver Creek" trail is an easy 1.6 mile out and back trail that borders the Ocmulgee River. To note--our property is adjacent to a working train track...perfect location to visit the famous Whistle Stop Cafe and check out the famous Juliette Dam from the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes." Come join us and enjoy your Retreat to the River.

Place in the Pines
We had friends and family stay in the cabins for a wedding at the Mill. I decided to bring a camper for extra beds. I spoke with Lynn on site at the cabins and RV parking and no one was scheduled to come in for any of the RV spots. So I made arrangements with Katelin and parked the camper. There was a problem with the online system and I told Katelin that I had tried and it did not accept our dates. I told her that I was going into a rehearsal dinner and would try again after. She sent a nasty gram telling me to pay or find other arrangements! Very impatient and very rude .. over a $40 payment ! In the middle of a rehearsal dinner! A friend finally typed in other dates and was able to make a payment while I was busy. I was very offended. The camper/Rv spots are not ready for guests; lots of work to do. Only one spot has 50amp service and it is located in a place that can’t be reached by a large camper; one spot has regular 110volt only, and none have toilet hook-ups. The newly poured gravel was helpful but sunk in with weight. It all worked out, but Katlin was out of bounds.

Open Field Campsite
This was pretty nice site and experience. The site is well prepared. It is close to state parks for walks and bike rides.

Noisy but pretty unique!
Very unique and I interesting spot. If the extremely loud train went by a little less frequently we might have been able to sleep. But every 15 min throughout the night was a bit much. But the constant dam sounds give a nice white noise in between train whistles and screeching metal. However it's beautiful by the river and they have hot showers! Don't think we'll be back, but I'm writing this a bit sleep deprived.

Trains….
The site and people are nice, Except there are Loud Trains that run by all day and Night. So unless you love the feel and noise of trains, stay away.

Place in the Pines
Tranquil Haven, Minus the Train
This place is a gem. The entire camp sits on a large flowing river. There's cabins along the edge of the river, a large field for tents, and a small lot for RV's or vans. There's a long trail for hiking and they allow fishing. A warm building with toilets and showers is very near the camping areas. Whistle Stop cafe is walking distance and a great option for breakfast. The train runs very frequently, roughly every 30 minutes at night. It's tough to get good sleep due to the train, but this place is still very worthwhile to visit.

Riverside Glamping Cabin #1
Relaxing Riverfront Whistle Stop
Even with an unexpected rain event with power outage for a bit and flooding the next morning, we absolutely loved the riverfront cabin across from the Whistlestop Cafe. This is our halfway spot to the mountains and MUCH more relaxing than a interstate hotel. Will definitely be back. Thank you Katelin for hosting us and you have an awesome place. Hope everything went well with the flooding😊 PS….The train was awesome!! Better than sirens anyday!!
