WiFi as well. ~ We do have a chicken coop so you can expect to hear them throughout the day. ~ We are on a dead end road in a rural residential area. About the property Our property is near Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park and Lake Okeechobee. If you’re looking for places to visit for the day or services nearby, you can head to Okeechobee, which is only 20 min away. Lake Placid is only 40 min, Vero Beach is only 1 hr, and Melbourne is 1 hr 30 min. All of the listed locations offer great opportunities for fishing, hunting, swimming, and beach hangouts. Each of the sites allows for watching the mini livestock, sitting around a communal campfire, hanging out at the watering hole, and having coffee or cocktails on the Mary Celeste! Our favorite things about our property are privacy, amenities, and all of the roaming mini livestock throughout the property! Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy. About the listing This listing is for a day trip, or a back-to-your-roots, overnight tent camping trip. Guests will choose their location after a tour of the property. We have various locations with AC for the hot summer days and bug-free dining throughout the property. We allow a maximum of 2 tents and 7 people per overnight stay.

Guests have access to a riverside boat ramp, 3 pools (one on the riverside, one on the beachside, and one in the middle with a spa), as well as 3 sets of tennis courts and a shuffleboard court. Additionally, there are restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities available on the resort. Perfect for RVs or fifth-wheel trailers, our concrete lot can accommodate up to a 40' Class A RV. While pets are accepted on site, they are not allowed on the beach. Whether you're looking for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, our property provides an ideal retreat for all seasons.

River Lakes Conservation Area

Rent a canoe to paddle over the river and through the wetlands. The River Lakes Conservation Area welcomes boaters, hikers, and paddlers, not to mention all kinds of local wildlife. It’s a prime spot to spot storks, cranes, and river otters, so keep your eyes up and out.
