RV camping near Bonita Springs guide

Overview

With its unique location in southwest Florida, Bonita Springs is at the intersection between two wildly different RV camping environments. Head minutes west of town toward the water to relax on amazing Gulf Coast beaches and parks. Made up of four barrier islands, Lovers Key State Park invites visitors to explore the canals and spot manatees or lounge on the stretch of pristine beach. Bonita Beach Park, Barefoot Beach Preserve, and Little Hickory Island Beach Park are equally incredible spots for relaxing, swimming, and paddleboarding. Visit Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens to learn more about local wildlife, then view animals in their natural habitat by hiking through Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge. Fakahatchee Strand Preserve, the largest state park in Florida, is a unique forested swamp and mangrove tunnels, which are home to panthers and black bears. Several RV resorts surround the Bonita Springs area, and most private RV campsites offer full hookups for water and electricity, including up to 50-amp service. Modern amenities for campervans and travel trailers typically include flush toilets, barbecue grills, and picnic tables next to back-in and pull-through campsites.
