Rancho Flamingo is a 2.5 acre homestead which is conveniently situated close to all the most beautiful spots the Mojave desert has to offer including Joshua Tree National Park (15 mi) Pioneer Town (14 Mi) Enjoy the East facing view for sunrises with a cup of Joshua Tree coffee and soak in the cowboy tub or star gaze at night from the deck complete with charcoal bbq. Enjoy a sense of seclusion and peace Ranch Flamingo offers the quintessential high desert experience. We are excited to welcome you to the clean "modern ranch" feel at Rancho Flamingo. We ask only that you make this space your home during your stay. There is a sense of peace and seclusion on this 2.5 acre lot in Flamingo Heights. We were originally attracted to the area because of its proximity to the best places the High Desert has to offer including Joshua Tree National Park, Pappy and Harriets, the Integratron & La Copine (the restaurant responsible for putting our very own Flamingo Heights on the map) which is walking distance from our house . Unlike many homes here, which are extremely isolated, you will be able to unwind and recharge in the much needed off-the-grid feel while still being within a few miles of great food and entertainment and the high deserts natural wonders. We hope our spirit of adventure and exploration will be felt as you get tips from us on nearby experiences , hidden gems and local artisans. Inside you'll walk into an open concept living space complete with a fold down futon for extra sleeping space. Our kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove top, toaster oven and local Joshua Tree coffee. Play your favorite records and open the french doors to let the outside breeze in or use the high speed wifi to work from home. Along with ac, you'll find a bedroom with a comfortable queen bed for a great nights sleep after a full day exploring the desert. There's two bathrooms: one with a stand up shower and one with a relaxing soaking tub. Outside you'll be able to cook dinner on our charcoal grill or take a relaxing dip in our cowboy pool.THIS IS A NO CAMPING PROPERTY. One bedroom two bath house. Enjoy the expanse of stars while still having the creature comforts of running water and a full kitchen, queen bed. There is also a pull out couch (sleeps 2) for more indoor sleeping as well as a queen sized bed in the bedroom. This space offers a modern clean house. It is just the place to get the desert feel while being able to put on a record or play a game of cards on the large dining table. Recommend a night at Pappy + Harriets and of course exploring Pioneer town and boulder climbing at Garths boulder Gardens nearby.

Desert House /No Camping

The space had pretty much everything you would need. Two of the photos on the listing: the record player, broken, and the telescope, also broken, should probably be removed. Outdoor furniture is about half of what's pictured. Small details like burnt out or broken light bulbs, two broken wine openers, the guest book with old wifi information, the shower head that sprayed into the corner made it feel unmaintained. Overall not worth the price.

Desert House /No Camping

We loved it. Comfortable bed. It was clean and inviting. Loved the views . We really liked that it was off the beaten path and we had privacy. But we were close enough to town. We enjoyed the covered porch with the couch . To sit in the morning and have coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The air conditioners worked well.

Camping in Lightning storm!

Had an amazing stay here. Such a boho chic place, had lots of good laughs and made lots of good memories with my family. There was an awesome lightning storm off the back porch we watched for hours.

Desert House /No Camping

Overall it was a great experience, really cool place and very comfortable. Unfortunately there was an issue with communication/messaging and I never received the check in instructions. Was a little worried while waiting in the heat unable to get in contact with the host. Got a text with the lock box code after 45 minutes. The pool was not filled and it took me a while to hook up the hoses to start filling it. It took about 3 hours to fill up, which was a bummer as we were only staying one night. But it really is an awesome pool, perfect size. Careful walking around it though, there is a lot of broken glass in the dirt.

Desert Get Away!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly what we needed to get away. Decor and amenities wise everything was well designed and thought out to the finest of details. We had so much fun star gazing around a fire at night and relaxing in the afternoon enjoying each other's company exploring the music records. For the price, location for nearby destinations, and amenities provided this place can't be beaten. I was little hesitant to leave a positive review because I afraid this place will be booked solid next time my girlfriend want to revisit haha
